The best periods of my life, without a doubt, have been when my entire day/week/life was spent purposefully. I no longer needed entertaining distractions because every moment of my life was real and rich and meant something, even if it was just getting to experience life and trying despite its difficulties and uncertainties.

But, man, dopamine addiction is a bitch, ey? I started looking at my phone more, then playing video games too long, then porn, then looking at my phone every free moment. Now I feel like I’m spinning in space generally and can’t even come down to firm ground appreciate the world around me so it’s hard to feel like I’m interacting with anything that’s not forcing stimulation into me.

23. I don't think grow out is the right term due to its implications but I basically don't watch any movies or tv shows at this point.

I don't know what it is, before I could watch 2-3 movies or like 10 episodes of a show per day but now I can't force myself to watch anything.
