It’s not, this show was just anglo propaganda

believable characters, good set design, good lighting/camera work

it could have been better story wise if it was longer imo

t. Putin

The sound motifs for the radiation were haunting

It was shit and it's even worse on rewatched
Few great scenes and ideas sprinkled through garbage

anti-nuclear energy propaganda.

>people still think it's anti-nuclear propaganda
It's anti Made in China, if you're one for analogy. And anti corrupt government.

Nothing. After the first episode it was garbage.

Lack of black people and womans.

No. Legasov explains at the end that the government cheaped out on materials and construction of their reactors, lied to the people, and fucked everything up. He presented the West as an example of how to do nuclear energy right.

Ok commie

If it's supposed to be Anti-china then you and the creators of Chernobyl are brainlets. China and the Soviet Union are both very authoritarian, but China embraces capitalism way more than the Soviets and often uses it against us.

>noo don't fly into death ray...i mean into the radiation

Not Anti-China. Anti cheaping out. Products that have the "made in china" sticker on it stand for shitty production. But yes, you could even say it's anti-China since they're communists too.
This show was about the government's disservice to the people of Soviet Russia. Nothing more and nothing less. It doesn't state that nuclear energy is a bad thing. It shows the negative effects radiation can have on a human being, but that's normal considering we're talking about a disaster here. It's like saying the Titanic incident is propaganda for cold water being dangerous. It's not quite right.

Chernobyl is arguably the biggest fuck up the soviet government has ever done. They directly endangered not just their own countries but those in the vicinity.
Saying it's "propaganda" is you siding with their mistake and covering them up.

>They directly endangered not just their own countries but those in the vicinity.

I don't see why you're posting these articles and what you're trying to achieve here. Might as well link a wiki to the Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The Soviet union screwed up, lied to their people that everything is fine, and endangered countless human lives. Accept this fact and move on. Shit happens.

>Chernobyl is arguably the biggest fuck up the soviet government has ever done.
lol i wish

Boris.

>There are other scientists like me. Any one of them could have done what I did. But you... everything we asked for, everything we needed; men, material, lunar rovers. Who else could have done these things? They heard me, but they listened to you. Of all the ministers and all the deputies. Entire congregation of obedient fools, they mistakenly sent the one good man. For God's sakes Boris, you were the one who mattered the most.

>lied to their people that everything is fine
>The evacuation of Pripyat took place the day after the accident – on the afternoon of April 27, 1986 by train, boat and most of all by buses.

Fair enough. But the point is, this could've been handled better. It was handled poorly not just by the USSR, but every country that was under Soviet rule at the time. People were having parades and marches while this was happening, and the government hid in their bunkers and ate food from vaults. It was a disservice to the people.

Even vehement communists agree that Chernobyl was a major fuck up. Stop trying to defend them.

here's a redpill: governments all over the world are highly incompetent and use tyranny to cover up their nepotism, corruption and braindeadery.

It not the ineptitude or shitty tech or hypocrisy that is most infuriating about mutts it that they convince the entire world through their propaganda that nuclear energy is bad and dangerous, and force countries to use shitty wind power and coal plants

It's well made show, but I still can't get over how so much of it is just straight up fiction.

Why do you try to change the subject, nigger. You said "lied to their people that everything is fine"

Without politicians who would run the country? The people are meant to serve those in power, for the good of the country of course.

I never said Americans haven't screwed up. But to cover up Chernobyl like this, you're no different than the shitheads who were responsible for it's handling. You can talk to Putin about this and he'll tell you the same thing, it's a shameful accident. No one is proud of it and few defend it.
It isn't a matter of slavs vs mutts here. The Americans have fucked up too along the way.

It makes the Russian faggots seethe
