selfies in and of themselves are annoying to me, a very narcissistic and feminine action. then theres the context in which it was taken, at the oscars, the most self congratulatory "prestigious" exclusive wankfest in the modern entertainment industry. the picture was taken during a musical number i believe? finally, the subject matter itself. all smiling faces, with dead eyes, a collection of household names(and one black guy) all gathered in extremely close proximity together, as if this is some sort of blessed visage that we're supposed to care about and enjoy. the individuals themselves are also highly suspect in their behaviour; every normie now hates spacy for obvious reasons, but theres also meryll streep who presumably stood by and did nothing while harvey weinstein worked his magic, angelina jolie who has fucked up her kids lives irreparably, jennifer lawrence who has essentially been outed as harvey's talentless whore, jared leto who is currently on suspicion of running a small sex cult with underage women, and ellen degeneres, one of the most hateable people in hollywood. I'm sure if i bothered to look, i could find fucked up stuff about pitt, tatum, roberts and cooper but I don't give enough of a shit right now. overall, the image itself is sour given what we now know, and filled with despicable whores, eager to plaster their own images wherever possible. the arrogance of the image is what bothers me, no humility of any sort seen in one single jeering face. maybe if they had had even one person I genuinely admire the image could be salvaged, but I'm guessing mel gibson wasn't close enough to squeeze in.
