Filming it as a cartoon was an unnecessary gimmick. Using real actors would have sufficed for a drama. Kon ruined his own film.
Perfect Blue
We already have Black Swan.
>implying burakku swan isn't the live version
anyway i think the fact that it was animated made the hallucinations more convincing
You fucking pleb
so why did manager lady want to murder her again i forget
>Using real actors would have sufficed
Except Japanese can't act.
Perfect blue was fun. I should rewatch it
holy jpeg compression normalfag
>filming it as a cartoon
>you now notice that the media res big face in the back isnt the same face of hers
The people that I know that like anime always recommend that I watch shit like this. They tell me it's way better than any live-action film could ever be, but it's always mediocre bullshit. Do people who watch anime just have no taste or have they only ever seen live-action movies made by marvel?
>Filming it as a cartoon
Wut?
Legitimately better than most movies. The people who say it's mediocre unfairly compare it to only top tier cinema.
This needs an IRL adaption
It's literally anime black swan. Fine for one viewing and that's about it.
One came before the other and if you think they're really similar you probably saw neither.
The Japs can't make live action movies.
>I watched Black Swan first, so the original is irrelevant
I don't care which came out first. I'm saying they're both mediocre.
Animation is art, 2D>3D
And I'm saying you didn't see them.
lol
Haha :^)
japs can't fucking act, would have ruined it
Some people just can't appreciate anime. They either can't get over the fact they are watching a cartoon, or they hate subtitles and try watching the mediocre dubs. It's cool though, there are lots and lots of people like you, don't try and force yourself to like it.
Perfect Blue was incredible. There needs to be more animation directors like Kon.
The weebs that I know will only watch a live action movie if it’s capeshit. I just assume it’s a phase or something and they will grow out of it eventually
You mean the phase where you dismiss movies just because it's not in the medium you're used to?
i liked them in this, utube clips of old samurai films look alright too. Maybe you've only seen new jap stuff because you're a child or something idk
Yeah it's neither of the things you mentioned. The stories are on par with mediocre live-action movies. Thanks for trying though.
>movies are all about stories
Definitely someone who has valuable opinions on movies
I miss him so much
Oh yes, who could forget the mind-boggling cinematography and acting of....anime.....
Me too, user. Me too.
I'm no Jap, so I can't judge on the acting, but there are plenty of anime movies with great cinematography.
