Was he justified in killing his dad?

Was he justified in killing his dad?

No but I can understand his motivations.

>don't do x or i'll do y
>does x
>noooo you can't just do y!

Alright, you are Tywin Lannister now. Try to convince your pissed off dwarf son not to shoot you in the toilet.

>murder your girlfriend
>tell her dad not to call her a whore
>shoot him for calling the girlfriend you murdered a whore

Tyrion had less motivation than he did in the books because there is other backstory factors that were omitted in the show. He also becomes much more of a villain or despicable character. Except in the show his killing of Tywin is less comprehensible and then he stays a good guy.

It's not possible because Tyrion is following book motivations but Tywin is arguing against show motivations. Tyrion is rational in the book but irrational in the show because Tysha doesn't exist.

"Justification" doesn't mean the same in his scenario as it does ours. No it's not justifiable to murder the right hand of your King, even if he's a shitty dad.

>I'd love to kick you in the head. Just take a few steps run up then catch you with the full force of my steel capped toe under your chin, send you, little faggot, flying through the air. As you lie on the floor, coughing and wheezing and choking on your own blood, your jaw a mangled mess of bones detached from the rest of his skull, I stand over you and laugh wickedly. You look up at me in fear and pain, your eyes searching, begging me for mercy. You find none. I raise my boot then stomp down, splitting your skull like a melon and finally ending your pathetic life.
Tywin was asking for it when he said that.

>No it's not justifiable to murder
>what is "a game of thrones"?

>midge
>justified in anything

The fact that Tywin was sleeping with Shay showed Tyrion that not only was he a massive hypocrite for constantly berating Tyrion for liking whores but also showed that Tywin was sadistic and enjoyed tormenting Tyrion. Tywin usually tried to pass it off that he was doing the right thing for Tyrion or the family but you can't use that as justification for fucking your son's "girlfriend".

Accursed is the kind slayer

>The show is named after murdering plots, therefore murder is justifiable!
Brainlet.

>You find none. I raise my boot then stomp down, splitting your skull like a melon and finally ending your pathetic life

don't say "whore" and tell Tyrion you'll let him go if he doesn't return to King's Landing. easy

>Tywin was sadistic and enjoyed tormenting Tyrion.
I mean yeah, it's obvious right from the first season. He looks pretty damn satisfied when those mountain warriors demand Tyrion to be in the front line with them. Him fucking Shae is just one last act of 'asserting dominance' or some other kind of spiteful bullshit.

>Tywin convinces his son that his peasant girl wife is a prostitute and has his entire guard rape her. Pays her a single gold coin.
>Later revealed that he simply had her gang raped to teach him a lesson. She was innocent and ruined.
>Tells tywin that having a prostitute in the castle is a great shame.
>Fucks his actual prostitute gf in an act of power over him.

Tywin was a real bad man.

I don't, I fold my body up like a taco and make my escape down the toilet then I kill everyone in the castle while still covered in my own shit

>>Tywin convinces his son that his peasant girl wife is a prostitute and has his entire guard rape her. Pays her a single gold coin.
the gold coin was for when he forced tyrion to rape her last. pulling a train of guards earned her a silver per rape and it became more than she could carry in her cupped hands

This seemed a little too vulgar for Tywin.

Yeah even more fucked up. Its been forever since Ive read it.

Why? you dont even know him in the books.

>the gold coin was for when he forced tyrion to rape her last. pulling a train of guards earned her a silver per rape and it became more than she could carry in her cupped hands
You know for all the rape, murder and penis mutilation, the show is kind of tame compared to Fat Man's rape fantasy series.

It is how it works in the books. Rape & sexual assault have always been his weapon. He just doesn't do it by himself.

I don't really remember how based Tywin was I just remember the actor had gravitas and he ordered the Mountain to rape that Iberian slut and kill her children. Not exactly a crime.

SHE WAS A WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Attached: 1557154436806.jpg (250x189, 4.79K)

there is nothing he can say. tyrion went there to kill him, and then found the only woman whom he thought loved him naked in his bed, after they both just lied to put him to death. tywin is one of the best written and most entertaining characters of the show but he had it coming and his own family have always been the only ones to see through what he says. you probably wanted a funnier answer sorry

kek george is such a retarded based pervert

the real reason is that tyrion is the only one around smarter than tywin. he's threatened and ashamed. he knows jaime is a privileged himbo and sees cersei as just a means of connecting his family. tywin hates that he passed all of his best qualities to a dwarf and does all he can to cast him as weak, else the public knows the most capable lannister is the deformed one

In the books? Kinda. Turns out his dad gang raped his wife and lied about her being a whore.

Show? I'd say no. He was a dick to him his entire life but he didn't deserve to be murdered/

Tyrion is irrational in the book. Going up to the room is irrational (he's small and could get overpowered easily it isn't worth it) but he is so mind fucked he does it anyway

>Tywin was sadistic and enjoyed tormenting Tyrion
Damn I never got that part. I though Shae was just the first whore he saw. No wonder Tyrion goes even farther over the deep end. I thought Shae was there moreso to prove how dumb Tyrion was for loving her, not to show the inner machinations of Tywin's mind

Tywin doesn't perceive Tyrion as smarter than him. Everybody talks about how Tyrion is a chip off the old block (Tywin's sister in AFFC) so I assumed they were equal in intelligence, just with different personalities.
