Welfare is subsistence living. You get cheap rent, food stamps/debit card, and discounts and lots of free shit. You don't get much actual cash, but you can sell EBT cards (food stamps) in the ghetto for cash. Disability is based on your work history, or a flat amount if you're born with something, or you're a functioning tard like ChrisChan. I think the average is $1000 a month (less section 8 if you get it), and I think it maxes out at $2500 a month, which is rare.
Most of these planets are being given extra by family, or they're running ghetto level scams or grifts for extra cash.
If you get a section 8 house in the rust belt for like $100 a month, and get 800 a month in gibs...that's a lot of food. Throw in a boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, or parents who chip in, it's even more food. And then throw in the Dominos specials where you can get enough food for 5 people for $20...well, this show happens.
