But that's worse!
It'd be one thing if the BBC demanded the show be more mundane-- no idea why, but iirc there was a request when Moffatt took over that the show be less bloodthirsty
The fact that Chibnall had control of so much betrays his own lack of daring.
Sometimes taking risks means you might end up failing and embarrassing yourself. But if you don't care enough about your efforts to go that extra step, why should the audience care?
Like there was no attempt to give any of the 4 personalities. RTD era proves you don't need to write the scripts yourself to pepper in season-finale teasers. S11 finale has Graham sort of spring his revenge plans on Jodie when there was every opportunity to grow that antagonism over the episodes. If he spoke to Ryan about vengeance outside the finale I don't remember because it was so boring.
The show just seems terrified of entertaining the ideas it pitches to the audience these days. Even episodes people hate here like New Earth, or that Season 6 Mermaid one, the cast was willing to forget context for 10 minutes and just give off the feel that it's a zombie movie in a hospital, or a Pirates of the Caribbean rip-off.
Chib Who fails to do that. That episode on the ambulance spaceship was the perfect encapsulation. At no point is anybody terrified for their lives about this... thing ripping apart major life support systems. At least one of the companions should have been freaking out. They even fucked it up with that Scottish nurse because her anxieties were more about *being in charge* than the actual mortal danger
Bart Simpson did a better job in a Treehouse of Horror ffs.
Chib Who sucks because deep down Chibnall thinks he's a shit writer, and rather than rolling the dice and hoping for 2 6es, he holds back, innocently thinking it'll secure an average result, but instead he gets snake eyes. Every. Single. Time.
Seven, no!
here's your dalek bro.
newfriend here, only recently finished nuwho with surface level knowledge about classic, here's the gist of it for me
>9 was good but too brief
>10 was okay, up his own arse at times but that felt intentional
>11 was great during his serious moments, but the 'muh fez muh fish sticks' shit was overdone
>12 was the GOAT
>13 is fanfiction
>rose was average, didn't make my dick hard enough, mickey became cool somehow
>martha was cool, stirred something in my pants sometimes
>donna was meh, overrated, didn't stir anything in my pants, good bantz though
>amy was hot but a bad person, rory was a cuck but i liked him
>clara was good, not my favorite but probably the best-written companion most of the time, danny is just inferior mickey and it was obvious the BBC wanted to get clara BLACKED and i'm glad he got swept under the rug quickly
>the lesbian wasn't as bad as i expected but still meh
>nardole was ok
>river was terrible, what the fuck were they thinking
>graham is the only 'new' companion worth mentioning, he's alright
>the master was a comic book tier villain most of the time
>cybermen are cooler than daleks
>seasons 1, 5 and 9 were my favorites
>season 2 was the the weakest
>the worst overarching story is from season 6
>best episodes are heaven sent (best), town called mercy, midnight, mummy on the orient express, dalek
>worst episodes are doctor widow wardrobe, idiot's lantern, fear her, let's kill hitler
tell me if any of these opinions are wrong and if they are then indoctrinate me into thinking otherwise, i'm open to changing my mind
Doctor what is it? What does "based retard" mean?

What's your opinion on Love and Monsters?
welcome, but the blog post was not needed. like what you like
>>donna was meh, overrated, didn't stir anything in my pants, good bantz though
donna isn't there for sex appeal
It looks fine if that's meant to be some kind of heavy weapons Dalek instead of a normal Dalek. Only thing I don't like is the green.
IT'S THE END OF DOCTOR WHO
youtube.com
What did you think of Donna's Granddad?
Or Captain Jack?
How about that french lady who came with this song? youtube.com
More like Doctor Who Cares lol
Milquetoast as fuck. Also you sound like an low IQ retard
Out with the old, in with the nu
Man I've been avoiding these threads because I thought you guys would be pro 13 for some reason, glad to see I was wrong.
What would an episode with dancing Sneed Cat be like? Would it be the villain? The comic relief?
yeah nah fuck 13
>Doctor who travels to a planet consisting of entirely cat beings that went through the agricultural revolution
>doctor who sees on of them dancing
>leaves in horror
end credits
Anyone know where i can find the broadcast edition of The Five Doctors online for the watch along?
>It's a "Moffatt writes a precocious assertive woman that sexually dominates the Doctor" episode
What's the best dalek serial of the 80s?
so much better than Series 11, holy based
I'm hurt user, it was sadkino

Pay your respects here
Was just watch a Town Called Mercy
Just imagine if we had Toby Whithouse as the shower runner
Would have been preachy but less progressive but a whole lot more fun and creative
If you consider Tennant to actually be the 11th/12th Doctor (and Matt Smith the 13th), then surely the metacrisis Doctor is the perfect candidate to be the Valeyard.
Though that'll never happen as it'd fuck RTD's happy ending for Rose up.
dated and bizarre but i enjoyed it for showing what happens to folk left behind in the doctor's trail
ok i'll shut up now
jack was cool, i hate fags but he was too based to hate
wilfred was heartwarming, for some reason the only time i cried in the show was when he saluted 10 in the end
i did not like the madam de pompadour episode, felt contrived
okay
Even Reddit isn't really pro 13.
nearly had a feckin heart attack you bastid
Just have Rose die, and Metacrisis comes out old, (he comes out like 2060) and gets revenge on the female Doctor and steals some of her regenerations like the master did, or something.
Then she regenerates and a new showrunner comes in to save this failing piece of shit with Tennant as the antagonist for a few seasons.
I know it was, but just like the Clockwork demon under her bed, Girl in the Fireplace was a harbinger for the torrid nightmare that would greet us as adults.
It started to ramp up with River Song, and by Season 9 there were more Dominatrix women than stars in the sky.
You know how people get the conspiracy theories where they think writers behind children's shows just jam as many of their adult fetishes into the programming as possible? Well Moffatt does that, except his fetishes exclusively involve women in leather and spandex
Fuck you user don't do that sort of shit
> DIE, CHIBNALL!
I don't even get it
42 was a pretty decent episode
Power of Three was a good character piece with a rushed ending
Dinosaurs on a Spaceship was the most fun episode of season 7
What happened that he ran out of ideas so quickly?
To be honest i find the whole "incarnation of the Doctor between his 12th and last life" stuff really stupid. Like what the fuck is that even supposed to mean?
God, it could be kino.
At least with him ageing at a human rate they can wait until whenever Tennant could/would want to do it.
13 onwards could be a bad 'un.
That's what it means.
Honestly? Deliberately vague to avoid being pinned down and they probably didn't even think the show would make it that far so would never have to show it.
goodnight, sweet prince
>wilfred was heartwarming, for some reason the only time i cried in the show was when he saluted 10 in the end
Based. Wilf is definitely my favourite one off companion in the show. He's just so sweet. He also almost wasn't going to be in Series 4. Originally Donna's Dad was going to have Wilf's role but the actor just wasn't well enough for the role and eventually died.
You could also just have him revert some of his old ageing and have him do it now. (But not all)
That's why he doesn't look the -exact- same as like series 4, and why he continues to age normally.
Could even have him as a recurring villain when he regenerates, so there's one other time lord the Doctor needs to contend with, and not just the Master.
Turns out those writers in the 1980s were bloody soothsayers, eh?
Okay, good enough, but why that "between"? What does that mean? Doctor half regenerated? Saying it is simply last Doctor with no more regenerations would've made a lot more sense
