The moment women became this show’s main demographic is when it to shit. The dialogue became a lot more modern after s4. Characters became more quippy and female characters needed their girl power moments. The "modern" dialogue was at its worst in s8. S8 literally starts with a dick joke between Tyrion and Varys, there’s constant height jokes about Jon, and Brienne is made fun of for being a virgin even though she’s a noble woman in a medieval time. They also turned Jon into an emasculated cuck

It went to shit when GRRM told D&D what actually happens after Season 3. D&D thought it was lame to actually have the wargs and Faceless Men playing such big roles with hidden identities and shit like that so they just made up le ebil Night King even though there's not even a payoff to him. Varys for sure was ruined by going from Blackfyre loyalist to "Me luv realm".
