fuck banks and shit

communism, sodomy and nihilism.

start fighting

>inb4 people claim its about toxic masulinity or start thinking Tyler was the good guy

That hand is terribly photoshopped, it doesn’t look like it is attached to Pitt’s character

1. Modern society with its focus on consumerism is shallow and hollow.
2. Males are emasculated
3. Cults are not the answer

It doesn't give a specific set of solutions but rather outlines the problems.

I think it's that there are serious obstacles in modern day life (primarily materialism) to being alive in a sense that embraces your mortality and pain and the movie is just about a guy who responds to it in a strange and interesting way. I dont think Tyler is supposed to be fully right in the movie

I’m self conscious about being gay. At least that was the novel’s message

something to do with homosexuality, the author is a homosexual.

>communism
>sodomy and nihilism
pick one, and only one.

jest bee yerself

men need outlets for their stress and neither mindless consumerism nor unchecked violent anarchy are the answers.

there is none it just says we all have a problem as a SOCIETY XD and nothing we do even cults will fix it only option is a flat reset and starting over

>3.
It doesn't really show this tho. The character is left as a hero and we're supposed to believe that the world is a better place for what he did as we're not given a glimpse to the future.

Movie is clearly pro-right wing nutjob.

be your best self if not you might as well just kill yourself.

and what is wrong with that. mr front-page reddit

It's about a lack of father figures in modern times, Palahniuk even said it himself on Joe Rogan

The way I saw it, he's left a hero after defeating the inner demon that caused him to go on that path to begin with. The movie also differs from the book iirc, in which it's unclear whether Tyler ends up dying or going to a mental hospital.

> The character is left as a hero
lol wut

why do directors always give the most vague message in their movie and then announce it like they were some 2smart4u intellectual?

Thinking a message and voicing it in a movie are two different things

>WAAAAAHHH YOU CANT HATE PORKY AND LOVE WHO YOU WANT
>WAAAAAAHHHH YOU CANT HATE PORKY AND NOT BELIEVE IN MY SKY DADDY
Fuck off fashy

I can't believe how shitty the comic sequel is, Palahniuk lost it big time. As if Doomed and Damned weren't shitty enough already.

I remember how defensive he got when he was outed. Can't understand why, he's from Portland, the degenerate capital of the US, fags probably make up 80% of the population there.

Ano no, satire doesn't mean "everything done by MC was wrong"

He wanted to fight against consumerism yet his imaginary friend was a embodiment of all the stereotypes
