WRONG! Mike even tells Jimmy that Lalo will die, meaning that Jimmy currently thinks hes dead. Lalo would have to make further contact with Jimmy next season for Jimmy to think hes alive.
After this episode, Lalo either goes into hiding or wants to tie up loose ends before he goes into hiding, which is where he would contact Jimmy. Gus thinks hes really dead. Now that Nacho thinks that Lalo is dead as well, him and Mike hatch a plan to kill Gus. This is inevitably what will get Nacho killed.

correct in that Jimmy's assumption about Lalo's state has to change. Could be Lalo himself showing up or Nacho or Mike realize he isn't dead and for some reason telling Jimmy.
It will need some explanation though, why he never appears in BB to aid Hector. And of course also why this assassination attempt of a fellow cartel member has no further consequences. I hope they don't get brain cancer over this as it's actually quite tricky to tie all this together.

The problem is that jimmy is essentially a slave to Lalo, and Lalo has a lot of shit to do all the time.
I cant think of how the whole breaking bad story would happen without Lalo showing up and fucking shit up.

That guy was an idiot. However, I believe there are still two hitmen left. You likely won’t remember but there were six hitmen in total. Lalo kills three and wounds the other one, leaving two left.

When the hitmen found the tunnel, two of the hitmen were ordered to find out where the tunnel comes out and look for Lalo outside. We don’t hear any gunshots and I highly doubt that Lalo would have been able to take them out stealthily.
