I like tomahawk a bit more, dragged has a couple scenes when the detectives are investigating that go for too long and the dialogue between Mel and his family is weird. Both great movies though.

He's just caught the curse of directing, i.e. working all day and night wears on you. He stated working on Brawl and Concrete back to back aged him a good 10 years.

i think thats diffused thinning, hairline genrally stays same, but the hairs just thin out like a motherfucker.
His sides and back looks okay because you typopically dont lose that area, or if you do it takes forever.

loved all 3 films. terrific pacing and great characters. brooder is the character of the decade.
that being said, it's time to change the tune a little bit, there can only be so much deadpan acting and delivery. just sometimes i would like to see some raw emotion and/or characters screaming during violent deeds.
p.s. any word on his next feature? didnt he sell like two dozens of scripts to major studios?

Dragged Across Concrete was such garbage. Preachy, bloated mess. I don’t watch movies to have characters get on political soapboxes where they might as well be staring at the camera as they speak, especially when the opinions sound like they’re coming from 50 year old facebook boomers. Tomahawk and Brawl were leagues better.

Could have cut an entire hour out of the movie. You know there was tons of unnecessary bullshit in that movie even if you liked it, don’t lie. There is no justification for it being 2hr30+, there’s not enough substance.
Nope, there were plenty of conversations with his wife that were retarded and unnatural and the entire point of the movie was political in the most shallow way.
