Let's fly our spaceships into the sun, fuck some monkey people...

>let's fly our spaceships into the sun, fuck some monkey people, and let our ancestors die of infected wounds and famines for tens of thousands of years

Name ONE worse ending. Just one.

They had to break the cycle though

but they didnt

How do you know?

because deity-six and deity-baltar were talking about it at the very end and there even is a shot of billboards or whatever announcing robot servants

They chickened out by not killing everyone except for Gaius and Caprica 6 (and hybrid girl)

Yeah but the whole converation they had was to basically suggest that it might happen again but it might not
>let a complex system repeat itself long enough eventually surprising will occour
>robot servants
Not exactly, it was just a montage of popular robots at the time of filming, basically toys and tech demos. It was an open ending, but they did break the cycle resulting in 150,000 years of peace from robots nuking us

how about nuking the robots first instead of dying to the plague when you're 20

That isn't breaking the cycle, you are doomed to violence forever

that cycle sounds way better than cholera

Cute robot

>they did break the cycle resulting in 150,000 years of peace from robots nuking us
you dick only because there was nothing to nuke and nobody to do the nuking
that's like saying there have been no wars in atlantis since it sank to bottom of the ocean

Because they threw away their technology, otherwise they would have continued the cycle

muh cycle

yes but you're not proving that mankind is peaceful by destroying all guns and knives and bombs and shit, only that they lack the capacity to kill each other as efficiently as before

to the same extent the cycle isnt broken, just put on pause until people invent guns / robutts again

Unironically this, it was a cycle that needed to be broken

That remains to be seen, that's why it was open ended

Not taking me with them

brainlet cope but ok

but that's literally the point of the ending

it's the point rdm is trying to bash you over the head with since he couldnt think of an actual ending
thinking about it for 3 seconds reveals how nonsensical it is

When I first saw it when I was younger, I thought it was retarded. After growing up and reading Industrial Society and It's Future, I now realize that I'M retarded.

I've grown to like it but part of me wishes that the original Earth was our Earth and the colonials and cylons settled on a different planet and we see them break the cycle. I hate stories where an entire civilization dies out and there's no one to remember it, even if it is 'reborn'. this was literally the same ending as Lightning Returns

What’s totally believable is the fleet population of 40k people absolutely everyone would have everyone just be cool with living in a tent and throwing away your nuclear reactor technology, considering the show wasn’t about the constant strikes and rebellion and dissent they had to deal with

Reminder that "raping" a robot is so much more worse than killing 100 billion humans

You can't "rape" a machine, son.

this

>ancestors

Who said that?

BSG ending was based kill yourself

Dexter

lol. was sad to see him get unceremoniously killed off soon after. i can't remember any other pegasus face that was integrated after the arc. maybe that civilian laird who almost replaced chief. i think he's one of the first to die in the last season mutiny. i felt bad about that, it was just unceremonious

This show was so fucking good
