?

The production, direction, Score and acting were fantastic. Utterly brilliant.

The story was boring, cliche, predictable.
Also, the beginning hook suicide/murders felt like a bait and switch senpai. comapred to the slow tick of the rest of the film. I personally can't say i enjoyed it for that. felt like a rip off.

Why didn't they just fucking leave after they witnessed the cult commit a murder? There was no supernatural power at work holding them there. Why not just haul ass? They deserved to die for being so retarded

stop posting twice because you didnt get any (yous) faggot

Yyyyeeeeah. It was eye-rolling. I was disappointed coming from Hereditary to see the director decide to make literally another 'the characters are coaxed by a cult to fulfill their weird myth/mandates' plot.

Whatever. The set design was amazing.

I also watched Hereditary before watching Midsommar. At least in Hereditary there is the whole demonic influence aspect that could explain some of the character's dumb decisions. However nothing like that was present in Midsommar. It made no sense at all

Agree with you on the set design

Most pretentious generic horror-flick ever.

Its uncanny how these randomly picked guys with glasses all look alike when taking a selfie from the front.

Its ending attempts to normalize homicidal pms and at the same time can be interpreted as ppl falling prey to social pressure even if that means killing their SO.

Regardless of option 1, it's a good movie because its inherent moral flaw is transparent and easy to ridicule, and the good aspects are many: cinematography, music, pace, suspense and so on.

Because its a horror film and they are the generic horror-film posse.

How was he a pedo? I don't remember that part

bonechilling

all roasties seethe at the thought of men getting with chicks under 20 years of age

He fucked a virgin i guess. Men are only supposed to want sex with women who had at least 40 partners.

he was LITERALLY a nazi too

The cultish impregnation thing? I guess that chick was maybe meant to be underage but it doesnt make him a pedo

They were reading books about Hitler and there was an anti-immigration banner at the entrance.

This movie is Starship Troopers for feminists

Hard to imagine that guys with glasses used to be cool at some point.

Seems pretty on the left, the good one

Dani's afterlife journey (to hell) was too clever by half and normalfag audiences' reception suffered accordingly at that long of a run time; died in the editing room -
