Consider this then my small brained friend: instead of investing time and effort trying to get into a private tracker, then more time and effort maintaining a ratio, then more time and effort getting into another private tracker, you could direct that into getting a job, then paying $8 a month for usenet.

Alas, that would require a big enough brain.

Are private trackers safe from getting in legal trouble like you could by downloading torrents from some public website or something? Whats the point if not that? It seems like a lot of trouble to go through to be able to watch movies, in which case most suck anyway, and the old rare movies you can get without trouble because they have no profitability anymore.

Quality control is the main reason. You know that any torrent you pick up on a private tracker will be good.

Public trackers are missing heaps of shit, especially stuff more than a few years old is all missing seeders.
