Yes, the animation is very stiff and unpleasant to look at. I've noticed this thing where whenever one of the characters is talking in a scene, the other characters will stand there motionless, smiling at the character whose talking. It's really creepy

One good joke in three minutes. Once in a while golden age Simpsons comes up on my youtube feed and they're solid three minute chunks of continuous jokes. Fuck I just watched Burn's checkup the other day and it was amazing how many gags where in there. Modern Simpsons needs to finally just die, it's painful watching it now.
