there was nothing to ruin, the books are mediocere, even if the hack that wrote them claims otherwise. If it weren't for the excellent games this series would have been forgotten and deservedly so. The show is just souless netflix drivel, but it would be a stretch to say that they ruined the Witcher, since they left the games untouched.
