I took it to be: >hood mentality, stepping to every motherfucker that so much as looks at you to show them how hard you is >coupled with the fact that it is a drug stash house, probably not a bad idea to ward off potential stick-up crews >and maybe a little bit to show that you're working to the guys coming in for the pickup, earning your keep and all that That being said they didn't do a great job with Omar and Co. for being security.
Jaxson Wilson

its a reference to the raven as the unnamed protagonist hears a rapping on his chamber door so do those within the Lafayette street stash house Omar, as irresistible as poe's raven, enters
Noah Young
The old man is looking for the Edgar Allen Poe house, a landmark in west Baltimore. The young man believes he is looking for the “poor house”
Jordan Nguyen
i kind of read it as a reference to the cask of amontillado
Austin Wilson
The joke is a bit dated now because of redevelopment but the Poe House was quite literally in the ghettos of Baltimore. Poe house is seen on the right next to the lamp post in the google street view image. So the situation is some white fellow encounters a vibrant urban youth in the ghettos of Baltimore and because of economic difference in american english the surname Poe is misinterpreted as poor. Had a pedophile english teacher in high school who talked about how the Poe House was in the ghetto and how he couldn't tell if it was open. Had to knock and heard all sort of locks being done on the inside of the door.
Fucking white people, making places look nice and shit
Christian Sullivan
you don't understand. This is destroying Vibrant (With a capital V) communities by driving up property values and the quality of schools/living. This is terrible
Hudson Cruz
he was playing around with the honkey looking for Edgar Allen Poe's house in Baltimore when his house is in the Bronx.
