Do you consider Revenge of the Nerds to be one of the best comedies of the 80's?
I think it holds up extremely well.

Oh, gosh, I dunno, Rick, I thought that movie was cancelled! This is what you want to talk about, huh?
Had the opposite reaction about it holding up well. Lots of racism sexism homophobia othering and ugh don’t get me started on that rape scene
great flick, made King of the Nerds Yas Forums threads kino in 2013-2015
What the fuck is a frush?
Literally me
frosh, dipshit.
go to university
Gay kike movie
what the fuck are robster craws?
i was always more of a part 2 man myself
Courtney Thorne-Smith > Betty
Booger wins in the end for marrying Zed's kooky qt girlfriend from Police Academy in one of the later nerds direct to video sequels. she was always one of those odd cant explain why she always gave me a boner quirky actresses from the 80s
Anthony Edwards got Michelle Meyrink the ultimate autistic 80s cutie. he wins
its funny how obviously Edwards wanted out and nothing to do with any of the sequels, i think he was contractually obligated when they made the second one so he only did it if he could film all his scenes in a day so they wrote that dumb thing where gilbert broke his foot and couldnt come or something. surprised timothy busfield was in part 2, he seemed to be even more above doing that movie by that point than edwards
This
fuck no. 80s has far too many good comedies to consider it one of the best.
Still better than anything the last 20 years though
god i wish the character she played in Real Genius would hit on my 14 year old self
for all the shit the long duck dong guy got in the 80s, where was all that for this guy? he played that same sterotypical asian in everything, think he was in some of the police academy sequels basically doing the same ME NO SPEAKY NO ENGRISH SO SOLLY! SO SOLLY! schtick
she was a cute. wish she had a longer career. she was like a cuter more quirky selma blaire
Agreed
Like a lot of 80s teen comedies, it's aged really, really poorly. It's very much a vehicle of its time, I mean just look at how it treats that rape scene.
Eddie Deezen says he wasn't cast because the conceit was that rather than cast real nerds, they took guys who were more conventionally handsome and dressed them up like nerds.
Shocking, isn't it?
still would
haha i suddenly had that thought a while back like "how the fuck wasnt Eddie Deezen of all people in this?" it almost seemed like the Robert Carradine role was modeled after Eddie
>Robert Carradine
>conventionlly handsome
>Robert Carradine
its funny watching him in some 70s movies where he was supposed to be playing a handsome chad. once i know him as the nerd from revenge of the nerds i cant unsee it
Why are Chads in this movie portrayed as terrible people? It seems unreal...
to Deezen guys like Carradine and Curtis Armstrong were cancelled "good looking guys" lmao. well i guess it makes sense when you look like this
*considered good looking guys
stupid autocorrect
Well, "regular looking".
god i hate that guy thank god they didnt cast him it wouldve ruined the movie
youtube.com
