Then she would've been in his pocket for the rest of her life.
My expectations were subverted when she didn't tell Tony.
Why do people act like Melfi is a saint? She was drinking in between therapy sessions. And the way she gets rid of Tony at the end is garbage
Why? Its just rape
A bad idea to owe Tony Soprano.
She wanted to continue think she's better than him.
statistically speaking 50% of people enjoy rape
She knew that the second she did so she would have killed a man, so she made the moral choice. If I were in her position I would have told Tony the first chance I got, fuck genuine rapists.
Wrong, all women are whores
The mafia doesn't do favors
This.
And this.
t. Covert Narcissist
>reads one book
>immediately drops a patient she's been treating for 6 years
Haven't watched it in years. Did they outright say who the rapist was, or at least imply? Or was it more that she didn't want to have every swinging dick within the periphery of the parking garage get beaten up by Tony's thugs?
Not even a book it was a case study
She sees the guy's photo and name on an Employee of the Month plaque at a fast food place
having a drink because she was stressed out? oh what an evil bitch! taking shots when you're stressed out is based
smart

the first time i saw this episode me and my GF were screaming at the TV...TELL TONY TELL TONY RREEEE. really cemented the fact that melfi is a moral character, certainly loyle to her capo
>Me and my gf
Pls leave
The DUDES!!!
no she should have raped tony
Anons, don’t be this guy.
>having a drink because she was stressed out?
She was clearly drinking before sessions with Tony
Was this episode part of the season they had to scrap the entire season storyline for and rewrite last minute throwing random shit at the screen as fast as they could think of?
He was employee of the month
Do you mean season 3 when Livia died? Melfi rape was s4 iirc
Yeah. the season that revolved around his mom entirely and then she died last minute. A lot of random stuff happened that season that didn't really meld well.
The rape wasn't part of that?
Why was her ex husband such a cuck?
Maybe it was but I dont think so
I'm sure most of the audience wanted Melfi to tell Tony. I did too, but that was the point of the whole episode, which was to make the audience think if it was really the right thing to tell Tony, and whether the consequence of telling him is justified. Some may believe that killing the rapist is good, and others genuinely believe that it's not worth having blood on your hands.
It was season 3.

Not telling Tony was the smart thing to do.
