Those 2 with Sam Neil :
In the Mouth of Madness
Event Horizon

Why is it that everyone who begs for lovecraftian horror has never read any of his stories? The only good thing he ever wrote was From Beyond

Now that was kino

Never gonna happen

only one i know who likes lovecraft is my autistic cousin

>the colour out of space
>it's just purple
Any film based on that story should have been shot in black and white.

Never because nobody seems to understand Lovecraft isn't actually horror but basically just detective stories with horror elements.

>black and white
Better : In Infrared and Ultraviolet.

Now we're talking.

There is good lovecraftian horror, it's just usually not an adaption of one of his books. Just look at the Thing, pure fear of the unknown, paranoia and a slow descent into madness kino. It's lovecraftian as shit. Even has tentacles.

Pic related is the only one I've seen that could be considered Lovecraftian and it was fantastic.

Too small. Gotta be godzilla-sized. Actually, if you edit any godzilla movie you can get lovecraftian.

>unspeakable, indecipherable horror with impossible geometry and dimensions
translate to visual medium pls

>This wasn’t playing in my local theaters before the corona shit happened but now i can’t watch it at all.
Guess it’s time to pirate.

>NOOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST NAME THE CAT THAT, ITS A NO-NO WORD!!!!!!!!!!

Cthulhu could be kino, but they'd have to tone down the "AAAAAAAA FUCK I'M GOING INSANE" shit.
Maybe just have someone that saw Cthulhu once and has PTSD from it or something.

I really really hope one day Hollywood goes full retard with Lovecraft shit and created an action franchise that’s like a combination of Godzilla and The Mummy. Imagine cthulhu vs some other old ones creature in some kaiju fight. I could only imagine how seething Lovecraft fans would be, pure kino

Where did you first hear about Lovecraft, bros? For me it was Scribblenauts.

Cthulhu is nowhere near as important in Lovecraft's work as people would have you believe. Many of his stories could probably make fine films and have fuckall to do with massive tentacle monsters.

there used to be this old cooking show called "Good Eats," that my dad always watched where this guy would explain the science and origin of ingredients and shit, and they did this one episode about squids with a squid fshing boat that got attacked by the kraken and that shit scared the hell out of me. it was kino

most lovecraft fans are absolute faggots.

I think I actually first heard about Lovecraft directly when Dark Corners of the Earth was announced as game that was based on his workings. Don't know how long that was before it actually came out. Great game btw. one of the best actual Lovecraft games.

the shadow over innsmouth would be so kino.
