The implication is Gene is nostalgic for his time as Saul Goodman, so we need to see him at the top, probably working in tandem with Kimmy, for proper payoff.

It might , but one thing that gets me thinking is why Gene never reminisces of Kim. Only the Saul Goodman days. Does he have any memorabilia of her in the shoebox perhaps , that we havent seen yet. Does he try to forget her because of something that she did to him pre-BB?

Good questions that I'm dying to have answers to. The best answer there is on this front in the Breaking Bad flash forward scene in season 4. Jimmy tells Francesca to go to a specific location, to answer a phone call at a specific time that was revealed this season to be on his birthday. The only person who would call Jimmy on his birthday is Kim as far as I'm aware. The fact that he says it rings at a certain time sharp also would heavily hint at it being Kim because as of now she is very detail oriented and punctual. Obviously none of this can be confirmed, but we can deduct pretty confidently I think.

So since there is only one season left and saul still not being they saul goodman - does this mean the black and white scenes are actually jimmy laying low from lalo? Was always under the impression they were the events after breaking bad :(

Holy shit, now that would be a twist. I guess Jimmy cutting his hair in such a way that makes him look more into his male pattern baldness and rocking a mustache isn't that unrealistic of a disguise.

This is an old plot twist but well executed: the only thing worse than not getting what you want is getting it.

Jimmy wants Kim to be like him and cool with his shenanigans. Suddenly she is, but he sees that it has come at the cost of her being a good person, and it hurts him again.

Its essentially the reverse of last seasons finale. Admittedly, Kim is much more duped in season 4 than Jimmy was yesterday. She bought the act hook line and sinker and was even crying in the bar appeal, whereas Jimmy is more just taken aback by how forward she's being with wanting to fuck over Howard.

There's a first time for everything. He has Canadian fake IDs, if he got his father to not be stubborn he could bounce. We know that Jimmy will cross paths with Nacho again, so that implicates Kim as well. It seems likely she leaves or is forced out of ABQ because of interventions from Lalo, so it will be interesting even if she doesn't outright die.

You know what I hate? Lalo hasn't really done anything bad other than killing that one witness, like the writers are actively trying to make him look goofy and menacing but he's just that one likable and understanding dude running around from Mexico to New Mexico.

Honestly, the show should have picked up the pace faster by season 3 with jimmy already being all LWYRUP by season 4 and establishing his connections that are seen in Breaking Bad.
