This is going to be awful. OPM is dancing on a very thing line between serious and comedy, subversion versus playing straight. A big hollywood studio will never be able to get the nuance just right for it to be good.

The OPM manga is only a comedy until Boros dies, everything past that with Garou and the Monster Association is just straight up battle shounen where Saitama has an occasional cameo, and King is the only outright comedic character

Thing is, OPM is supposed to look like a background character, not a main lead. You need a plain face, round shiny head, and nondescript eyes and nose.
They should just cast the blandest bald C-tier actor they can find. Saitaima has no real expressions besides annoyance, boredom, and frustration. He doesn't have any lines that require emotional delivery.

Also, OPM is at least one notch above western capeshit if only by the merit of it's action. Marvel has some of the most limp dicked depictions of superhuman combat I have ever seen. Where characters should be casually punching each other through mountains and scorching the air itself with the sheer force of their blows instead you get regular fighting but with purple guy.
