I started watching it only because anne but found it quite interesting.

Its one of my favorite movies actually, but it seems like a movie that is particular to my tastes.

Neither of them really grew up. Gloria was still coasting and hopping from couch to couch and the guy never moved on from her when they were kids, leaving them as emotionally stunted people whose frustrations manifest themselves as these avatars of nostalgic childhood memory.

Gloria's monster is aimless and dumb and hurts people with really intending to, and his is a mecha that ostensibly looks like the hero, but is actually more fucked up.

The trailer doesn't give the feel of the movie. It's not a sci-fi but rather emotional self destruction.

Yeah, it really is just a drama with some humor worked into it. Honestly this is one of the only films I have a hard copy of, its so good.
