Characters who deserved better
Characters who deserved better
did someone cut off his dick? wtf happened!?
Me.
His dad
He was born in the UK
Most upset I ever got about a character death, but that’s mainly because Jared Harris is my favorite TV actor and I was pissed he was gone
>Lane Pryce
>Crozier
>Legasov
why are all of his characters punished?
Why was Pete such an ass in that episode?
So what happened to the way hotter black chick?
Did he go back to his old af wife?
Also I’m a fan of Pete myself, he was literally doing all of the work and holding the company up on his weak little bou shoulders.. and knew he lacked the recognition he deserved, so he was cunning and clawed his way up to be taken seriously, to be taken like a threat.
Don is just a chad by nature, Pete is the working man that demands what he deserves, and you might find him cringey, or weak or ugly, but he did the work, and he wouldnt let anyone take credit for it
>introducing his black mistress to his old ass dad
wtf was he thinking
I liked his character, but I have zero pity for anyone who commits suicide, especially him and the reason for it. He tried to steal money, and there's no good way to twist it around in his favor. He could have asked any number of people for money, but did it this weird underhanded way instead for no good reason. Don gave him an easy way out, one that would save his reputation and still allow him to find a job somewhere else, but he nonsensically decided to just hang himself in his office. I don't get it. His character did deserve better writing, that's for sure, but if that's his personality, what the fuck was he thinking?
What would you do if you’ve been toiling and working a significant amount of hours and have been working to cement yourself as a valuable and needed asset, day in and say out, while your progress is cut and half due to the lack of recognition you receive for it?
Had Don done the equivalence of what Pete did in terms of effort he would be praised by everyone.
It was something expected of Pete and now to be rewarded.
So in the midst of all of this your older accounting college who doesn't accomplish as much as you and has gotten relaxed with status and age, gets mad at you and decided to fight you in the middle of the office, and none of the people you’ve done so much for come to defend you... they just want a show.
I mean it makes sense
This. It was his crime, it was also his punishment.
Luke
I feel like it was a cry for attention and support.
No one gave him the support he needed (something prevalent in modern ((media))
Vengeance for Lost In Space
Attempted power move. Showing his dad he didn't give a fuck about what he though. It backfired though and he wasn't truly able to stand up to his Dad. Shame Richard Harris wasn't alive to play that role, would have been kino.
>get your house in order
THERE WAS GUM ON HIS PUBIS
Ah shit I can't remember what part of the show I was on when I made the thread but now I'm on the part where they've found him in his office
so we can all agree that pete has the best arc of the show and was the real winner at the end of mad men?
Is he a punished character in the Expanse? IIRC he's a space Trotsky with a south african accent there
Seeing his corpse hanging there all purple faced was genuinely shocking and upsetting.
Lane's death was completely wasted and passed over without any kind of memorial or recognition, or even remorse from Don (and everyone else, none of whom single-handedly garnered the Jaguar contract). Stopped watching after that season and won't ever revisit it. People aren't disposable -- or establish Don's full blown snakes in suits status prior ffs.
He was a morbid fuck though
I can believe that somebody could outsmart or get the drop on him. I can believe an old lady could catch him off guard. What I can't fucking believe, what literally fucked my entire suspension of disbelief when it came to Prisoners was him turning his back on the suspected kidnapper of his child, and putting his gun down to run the sink for no tactical or particularly discernible reason.
It was clear that the writer needed him to get put at a disadvantage and made him break character because that was easier than coming up with an actually logical way to fuck him over.
I don’t remember why he killed himself, was it because of debt or because his visa expired?
/thread
For those of us unfamiliar, which movie is this?
Title's in the post.
It's Prisoners. That character was a hardcore can collecting bunker digging survivalist even before his kid got kidnapped, and I'm expected to believe that he'd lay down his weapon in the lion's den under any circumstances. It was so fucking retarded.
i felt bad for him
>goes into debt from taxes on his portion of the company
>they forgo christmas bonuses, which he was going to use to pay off a loan
>as a result forges a check signed by don to get his bonus money, which gets caught by don
>don tells him he's done at the company as a result
>while all this is going on his wife, who doesn't know they are in debt, buys him a brand new jaguar
It was the best her character had been to date. If anything Dany got more than she deserved. She was actually fucking interesting for once.
He was a great choice for moriarty in Sherlock Homes: Game of Shadows and his plan was pretty legit but they let holmes defeat him rather too completely so he can't come back.
