This week they released a few photos from the new big-screen adaptation of Dune by Denis Villeneuve. Have you seen them?
>I have zero interest in Dune.
Why’s that?
>Because it was a heartache for me. It was a failure and I didn’t have final cut. I’ve told this story a billion times. It’s not the film I wanted to make. I like certain parts of it very much — but it was a total failure for me.
You would never see someone else’s adaptation of Dune?
I have literally never seen any David Lynch films or TV shows before I started watching Twin Peaks. I'm on season 2 now (taking it slow so I don't burn through it in a week) and it's pretty kino. What are his best movies or shows?
Brayden Wright
Twin Peaks is his best work in my eyes, but I'd say Mulholland Drive and the Straight Story are worth checking out
Carter Rodriguez
It's become such a meme but Eraserhead is actually kino. It manages to be disturbing, weird, disgusting, heartwarming, and actually pretty funny. Definitely give it a shot.
It's interesting, too, how he came up with the story. The way he tells it, he was trying to come up with his script idea and he began to seek after God. He opened the Bible, read a passage, and he says instantly he knew exactly what he film was to be, and it became Eraserhead. When asked what the specific passage of scripture was, he responds "I'll never, ever tell."

fuck you faggots for making me watch this boring piece of shit
Dune isn't a great film but it oozes with 80s soul. Dunc looks like it will be a soulless amalgamation of all the worst blockbuster trends of the last 10 years.
Cameron Long
John Cena v The Fiend Wrestlemania 36
Jaxon Lewis
You should had a double feature of Hellraiser and Hellraiser II
Jack Smith
cant appreciate other artists art.......
Lincoln Morris
Blue Velvet is the most entry level and maybe my favourite I've seen them all except Dune and I reckon they're all good, except maybe Inland Empire was a bit rambling and lazy, and FWWM could've been better Also just checked his filmography and I've never heard of the Straight Story
Jeremiah Allen
I've never actually seen a Hellraiser movie. Soon, user...soon
Lmao. Salty little bitch. So butthurt that someone else will make a masterpiece from the same source material he acts like he doesn't care.
Jackson Jones

If you like Twin Peaks then Blue Velvet and Mullholand Drive are a must. Blue Velvet is very similar to Twin Peaks and also stars Kyle MacLachlan. It's David Lynch at his most grounded - which is to say that it's surreal and dream-like but it never goes into pure surreal nightmare territory like Twin Peaks or his other films. Also it's got one of the best villains ever. Mulholland Drive was originally gonna be a spin-off tv pilot starring Audrey but ended up being its own thing. It starts off kinda normal but increasingly becomes more and more bizarre the longer you watch it for. It's fucking amazing and highly recommended.
Twin Peaks turns to shit about midway through season 2 - stick with it. Behind the scenes drama caused the show to go off the rails and Lynch himself left the show for a while. He comes back in the last few episodes and the show gets really good again towards the end of season 2 and the final episode, directed by Lynch himself, is one of the greatest things he's ever done and I'm fucking amazed that it aired on national television. After finishing season 2 watch the movie Fire Walk With Me and if possible the deleted scenes (which are compiled into their own movie called the Missing Pieces) before watching season 3. Season 3 is pure kino but be warned - it's the pure, uncut heroin version of Lynch.
Really all his stuff's worth watching (someone already recommended Eraserhead so I don't need to reiterate how good it is ) but his version of Dune is easily his weakest movie. It's got a lot of good ideas but it just doesn't really work overall. Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart (which doubles as Nic Cage kino), Lost Highway, Straight Story, Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire are all worth watching.
