S1 is good s2 shits the bed after the first episode. Not 100% the writers fault they had to write certain characters out which fucked up the direction of the show. However they went straight for Margaret stabbing Nucky in the back and focused huge chunks of episodes on her dumb shit morality projects when she should have been more of a Lady Macbeth character until s3.

S3 was ok and then 4 & 5 sucked dick. We could have gotten a great Capone spinoff series in there but no the creator wanted to make Vinyl instead

the side characters were WAY more interesting and better performed than the main characters, with the exception of Jimmy, who died 2 seasons in. No one talks about this show because its mostly either boring or just straight up garbage (Any Margaret scene)

What killed it for me was season 2 should have been Steve Buscemi's season where they really made it clear he was the main character because s1 failed at that.

Instead it was even worse and every scene he was in with Margaret was actually about her.
