wtf why are they all white
Reminder that the war was objectively not about slavery, but rather secession of the southern states. The secession did occur because of the issue of slavery, but it was not why the war was fought. Saying the war was over slavery is like saying an adulterous wife who was killed by her husband died because she cheated.
Nope, not a one. The action scenes is Gettysburg (1993) isn’t that good imo.
I think the battle scene at the beginning in Dances With Wolves is okay though, but it’s not really a civil war film
>saying an adulterous wife who was killed by her husband died because she cheated.
that's literally why she died though
Wish we could have a do over desu senpai
In a reductive sense, but not in a factual sense.
gettysburg
>wanting another brothers war
The north and south might disagree, but we should have never come to blows over it. We're 'family' in the end. I can't help but feel like we were tricked into killing each other.
>Imagine being a white man fighting for the future for NIGGERS
Cucks, the lot of em'
>americans are so dumb they fight each other
HAHAHAHAHAHAAH
Interesting. Why do almost no historians agree with this position?
The one with ferris bueler, colored troops and denzel’s single manly tear
Agreeing is professional and social suicide.
Source for that?
> Falling for bad bait.
I hope nobody wanted to discuss anything besides blacks and jews cuz that’s where we’re headed
Historical accuracy's not great but Harris and Guiness put in some great performances.
Look up Alexander H. Stephens Cornerstone Speech
They do.

As a panel of historians emphasized in 2011, "while slavery and its various and multifaceted discontents were the primary cause of disunion, it was disunion itself that sparked the war."[4]
The documentary by Ken Burns
>While slavery was the primary catalyst, the ultimate cause of the Civil war was the two sides going to war

>Tariffs appear nowhere in ... sermons and speeches, and 'states' rights' are mentioned only in the context of the rights of states to ... own other humans. The central message was to play on the fear of African barbarians ... The preachers and politicians delivered on their promise. The Confederate States were established explicitly to preserve and expand the institution of slavery. Alexander Stephens, the Confederacy's vice president, said so himself in 1861, in unambiguous terms.

So if academics agree that the secession itself was what instigated armed conflict, why do so many people get upset if you insinuate otherwise?
Reminder that the south deserved every burning they got and more

Yes. The Confederacy was established to preserve the institution of slavery. But the Civil War was sparked by the act of secession.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly takes place in a Civil War background.
Pathetic samefagging lol
this, even as a foreigner it's a fantastic watch.
While we're here, other 19th century battle kino may include Waterloo and mid-60s War and Peace.
Anti-intellectualism.
Haha stupid Americans. European countries would never fight each other.
?
Seething.
Just a reminder that every war that was fought anywhere in the world was for the benefit of the upper and ruling classes. thank you and have a nice day.
MAYBE THE SAWGRASS DID FEEEEL
BURNT CONFEDERATE STEEEEL
>there are redditcucks who are so bluepilled they don't know the civil war was about states rights.
I bet you think WW2 was about Jews
War is only good to kill innocent lives.
