>Is Nic Cage based?
WAS

Yes

People tell me I look like him. I’m 35 and not balding. I get laid a lot so maybe women are attracted to cage.

Yes, he's based and I mean that 100% unironically and sincerely.

He's based in a cringe kind of way

based on what?

>Cage
ftfy. Show some respect to Mr. Cage.

As an actor and a person

nic cage is a whore of the good kind.
no matter if a script is shit or amazing, nic is in there, signing away if the money is right, without any thought wasted on whether it will further his career or not.
and it works perfectly find for him.
he is in amazing movies, he is in terrible movies, but everybody knows him, and i dont think there are many people who dislike him.
nic cage is based and all actors should be like him

Face off is the best film ever made

>In February 2011, Cage said that, at a certain point in his career, he realized that he had developed his own method of acting, which he described as "Nouveau Shamanic. Cage later explained that he drew the inspiration for the name from the book The Way of the Actor by Brian Bates, in which he read about the parallel between the ancient shamans and thespians.
what a god.

>In some occasions Cage stood up for his extreme method acting.
>For Birdy, in order to physically feel the pain of his character (a veteran from Vietnam War), Cage removed two teeth without any anesthesia.
>He also spent five weeks with his face wrapped in bandages, receiving brutal reactions by various people for his aspect. When he took the bandages off, his skin was infected because of acne and ingrowing hairs.[94]
>Vampire's Kiss' casting director Marcia Shulman declared that Cage asked to have hot yogurt poured over his toes to get excited during a love scene with Jennifer Beals.
uhmm hello, based department?

>got a tooth pulled without anaesthetic for his role as a war veteran in Birdy
don't know if he's based but he's definitely dedicated

>Many critics have accused Cage of overacting.[89] Others, including Cage himself, have described his intentionally extreme performances as "mega-acting."
i'm thinking based.

>In March 2019, Cage married Erika Koike in Las Vegas, only to file for annulment four days later.
easy on the marriages, nic

So he's basically nuts in real life but at least not cringe crazy like Jared Leto.

>Is Nic Cage based?
dangerously

Nic Cage is literally the only former A-lister who has managed to avoid the curse of direct-to-video purgatory. Sure he's in about 15 shitty direct-to-video movies every year but when he occasionally stars in a good movie people will still go see it based purely on Cage being in it. He's one of a kind.

I watched vampire's kiss for the first time last year and it's a 10/10. Funny as hell. He also ate a real cockroach and made his assistant go to the park in NYC to get a Bat for a scene

>"oh yeah baby, I'll totally marry you and you can live off my fame and wealth. Let's have passionate sex to celebrate... PSYCH!"

I saw Leaving Las Vegas a couple weeks ago and was shocked at its gritty portrayal of hopeless alcoholism. The singular thing that broke his performance was his body- he looks great, but a motherfucker drinking himself to death does not sport abs. He truly is capable of a unique caliber of acting

I don't remember Cage ever having box office power. I went to go and see 'Gone in Sixty seconds' because that one was heavily marketed and than I remember he got marketed for Ghost Rider as well. Other than that, I don't think he had movies that were released in the theater where I lived.

He plays the exact some character in all his goddamn movies and somehow it just works. I'd say that's pretty fucking based yes

I love him in Wild at Heart
