THE MICHAEL BAY'S PLAN

>>> the remake of the texas chainsaw massacre was mean to be used as a launching pad for a crossover bringing together the Big Four of the slashers.

>>> a reference to jason voorhees was present in one of the first scenarios of the remake of a nightmare on elm street

>>> a soft-reboot of the 2 halloween made by rob zombie was planned, it would have served as a reboot and as a sequel at the same time

>>> sequels to 2009's friday the 13th and 2010's a nightmare on elm street were planned

>>> a crossover bringing together the 4 icons was initially planned, the film was to be produced by michael bay and potentially even produced by himself.

any opinions ?

those things were planned and i want to know the opinions of the fans

The hitcher, Amityville horror and Texas chainsaw were all kino

do you think that this crossover could have worked ?

Probably would have been a cluster fuck.

the hitcher and amityville are not part of this shared universe of slashers

But all from Bay's studio back in the 2000's

why ?

but not part of this slasherverse

How would it work? Texas Chainsaw was in the 70's while F13 and NOES were present day, plus Leatherface was missing a fucking arm.

Would've been fun. Who gives a fuck if it turned out to be shit? Horror movies especially nowadays are so self conscious and safe. The 80s were great with how whacky they would get to freshen things up, pit Jason against Carrie, have him body hopping because why not? Instead we get boring safe forgettable garbage like the ANOE remake. At least having a big ambitious crossover like this would be interesting and entertaining, regardless if it turned out to be shit.

It's like when Dimension held an online poll to gauge interest in a potential Michael Myers vs Pinhead movie. Believe it or not the braindead low IQ faggot fans told them not to do it. Why not? Because it would be silly and would disgrace either series? It's not as if Hellraiser and Halloween weren't already embarrassing pieces of shit. Instead of more stupid boring shit sequels at least we could have a fun whacky entry into the series. Horror fans are such low IQ subhumans.

The problem I'd have is that it'd relegate both of them to solid B-list under Freddy and Jason by doing such a copycat move. And yeah, they are, but if you admit that it ruins the magic in a away. Besides, Pinhead doesn't really seem like the type to be a vs villain. Now if you wanted to have Michael Myers vs Jason vs freddy, or go with the idea of Pinhead intervening on the Freddy and Jason fight in hell, that makes more sense to me, while not devaluing any of the characters.

I really enjoyed all these reboots. The weakest link was the Nightmare remake, but i felt all these worked as great distillations of their respective franchises. Slasher movies shouldn't be such sacred cows where you never touch them again, I feel like a lot of the appeal is seeing these characters in new lights as movie production changes. As long as the core is there, I'd like to see these characters in new movies.

>The problem I'd have is that it'd relegate both of them to solid B-list under Freddy and Jason by doing such a copycat move.
Are Freddy and Jason copying Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman? Having two horror movie characters in a versus movie is not a unique or brilliant idea, it's an incredibly obvious thing to do, Freddy vs Jason was the first mainstream match up, if they hadn't done it two other horror movie villains would've been paired up eventually, it's not an idea that should be exclusive to those characters.

Pinhead is already a fucking joke. He only had integrity in the first two movies. 3 he was a generic slasher villain, 4 he was plotting for literal world domination. 5 onwards he became a Freddy Kruger-tier sassy one liner quipping faggot.
>b-b-b-but 5 was really good
5 being good is the shittiest Yas Forums meme of all time. At least the F13 and ANOE sequels tend to be really entertaining, regardless of how shit they get, the Hellraiser sequels have zero appeal, they're just boring pieces of trash. Would I rather another repurposed script with Pinhead shoved in at the end just to maintain the rights to Hellraiser or would I rather a fun versus movie that pits him against Michael Myers? I don't give a shit what mental gymnastics they have to do to give Michael and Pinhead a reason to fight. Pinhead is already a bottom of the barrel laughing stock, there's nowhere lower for him to go.

Who the hell would want this? Sounds fucking terrible. Those type of “team up” films were always ass and made little to no sense.

Jason Vorheez is immortal, Freddy isn’t even fucking alive, Leatherface is just a serial killer with a weapon, same can be said with Michael Myers depending when you stop the series.

maybe if they do it about the final girls

There's a gap of 50+ years between those two vs movies. coming off FvJ would've just made it be a bomb.

>coming off FvJ would've just made it be a bomb.
Like Alien vs Predator did one year later?

i Don't know, but that was planned

Frankenstein vs wolfman made no sense, pairing Frankenstein and Dracula ? that's the right thing to do

the logical thing after FvJ was Freddy vs jason vs michael and not Ash

avp made 170 millions at the box office, that's not a bomb at all

Don't give a shit of those ulgy bitches

That's my point you autist, he predicted a versus movie following FvJ would bomb. Learn how to follow basic conversation.

FvJ made 110 millions at the box office, it's a box office phenomenon !! you fag !

you need to stop drugs dude ! and you need to stop staring elvira's cleavage you fag !

>Don't give a shit
nothting wrong with it

>those ulgy bitches
t. rostie

>Scene opens in a dark foggy realm
>all four slashes appear
>They instantly get pallet stunned
>There's a black woman camouflaged like predator
>A red head starts tea bagging the dirt
>Ash Williams is there

Do not respond to marketing threads. This is how they test the waters for new ideas, dont help! Force them to take risks

I like the crossover idea. Wish he'd went with that instead of making 50 transformers sequels. It was redundant after part 3.

I don't care because Bay is based anyway
