The Golgo 13 movie (minus the helicopter scene) is beautifully animated and directed, whereas One Piece is beautifully written and detailed. You can't always sit down and watch a One Piece story like you can with Golgo 13 or the X-Files, but it's managed to pass 900 episodes without becoming a clusterfuck like the X-Files did.
