Game of Thrones

>be most popular and culturally impactful piece of entertainment throughout the 2010s
>completely forgotten, discarded, and hated one year after finale

Has this ever happened to any entertainment property before?

Lost

normies don't like it anymore? i bet they'll eat up a sequel or whatever offshoot they make of it

quite a few, but that's normies for you

The Sopranos
True Blood
Westworld
Chernobyl

Normie opinion now is that it was an entertaining series with the final two seasons becoming generic, shitty fantasy garbage.

One level deeper and the popular opinion is that the decline started in season four and that Martin's writing was the only thing floating the series the entire time. That D&D are just some lucky fuckers that stole internet theories to get the hard to obtain rights to do a GoT show.

My mom told me about this show but it was from before my time, is it worth the time investment Yas Forums?

>>completely forgotten, discarded, and hated one year after finale

That's what happens when you subordinate literally everything to the spectacle. It's exciting the first time you see it, but then as soon as it's over you realize that none it made sense and it's a stupid story.

I remember people saying Lost was shit after the finale, same with Sopranos.

Breaking Bad is the only recent big one where people tell me they loved the ending and still love the show.

>My mom told me about this show but it was from before my time, is it worth the time investment Yas Forums?

The first four seasons were some of the best television of all time, but then it went downhill from there very fast.

>Breaking Bad is the only recent big one where people tell me they loved the ending and still love the show.
Really? I wouldn't say it was hated, but it dropped off the face of the Earth until Better Call Saul was announced

Dropped how? Anytime critics or enthusiast discussions bring up greatest TV shows of all time Breaking Bad is right in there with Sopranos. Most people loved it to the very end.

Why do people hate Chernobyl?

thisAlso this isn't like the 1800s or something. Every there's a new sensation every other month. Shit stops being the big talk because the big talk only revolves around new and surprising shit.

But you get into conversation and bring it up, it's pretty easy to get people talking about it again. I can't really do that with Lost or GoT without the ending seasons being brought up.

It's weird how this meme format only really works with money printing. Everywhere else I see it, it just isn't as funny.

read a book you dumb nigger

because no S2

Leftist Anglo Russiagate nonsense

printers go bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

>Leftist Anglo Russiagate nonsense

It's against government corruption and censorship. It all applies equally to Western governments as well.

The Sopranos is still usually considered the best HBO show ever, only The Wire competes. Rarely hear people saying they hate it. Chernobyl was a one-time series, doesn't count.

Westworld hasn't ended yet.

LOST
Was the biggest show in the world and it shat the bed.

>Rarely hear people saying they hate it.
Zoomers don't have the attention span for it. -

>It's exciting the first time you see it, but then as soon as it's over you realize that none it made sense and it's a stupid story.

Avengers: IW and Endgame say otherwise. It's all about sticking the landing user, which GoT obviously didn't

Lost was big for the first 2 seasons, and then became totally obscure by the end of season 3. That's why t he last 3 seasons were shortened to half seasons.

Imagine still being butthurt a year later.

For a culture that talks on and on about how strong they are, Russians are an incredibly sensitive lot.

Walking Dead, except it happened before the finale

>dude just get cucked and take shit like a bitch country like Canada UK
lmfao kys

nobody gives a shit about breaking bad

To be fair I still hear people talking about BB. GOT its almost embarrassing to talk about in public.

You bitches have been cucked since 1991, that's why half of your population is drinking themselves into an early grave and your women are whoring themselves out to escape.

>culturally impactful
kill yourself

god i hate this meme format

How am I wrong? GoT memes, phrases, and merchandise were EVERYWHERE until the last few years.

i still remember Westeros.org before the show people would get happy if they saw a reference to it anywhere in the outside world.
