Whats with the mixed reviews?
It doesn’t hold up against Casino Royale which is a 10/10, QoS is worthwhile.
I’d place it above Skyfall and Spectre

best Bond girl and the villain's plan is to horde water. i love it.
It's got some issues but time has actually been pretty kind to it. Looks far better post Spectre
she's hot as fuck, holyshit
Magic CIty, enjoy
>No gun barrel till the end
>bourne like cuts during action
>continues casino royale plot that I didn't care about
>villain is a bigger pussy than the coward in CR
>lets throw matheson in a dumpster
tough to criticize it since ive only seen it twice but these are things I remember bothering me
Not gonna lie though. When I saw it at the theater I preferred it to Casino Royale, and I still probably do, if only for the shorter run time and the girl not back stabbing Bond and it somehow is more of a Bond film in my eyes than Casino Royale was (still not one though). But Skyfall and Spectre are both better despite their flaws
Nope its not as good as Skyfall (which ia equal with casino) or Spectre not even close but yes it's still good & underrated.
Now that I think of it, last time I watched this movie all the way through was 2008 or 09. Time for a rewatch probably
If I remember the movie was just one action scene after another after another after another after another.
skyfalls story is fucking retarded and if it wasnt for the director of photography carrying that movie on his back it wouldve been fucking dogshit. dont even get me started on spectre, the worst action movie of the last 20 years
>the worst action movie of the last 20 years
user Spectre really wasn't that bad. And its a decent enough action movie, though using the pistol to shoot down the helicopter is dumb. I don't know why they didn't just have James find a rifle in the boat or somethin
idk man i really just hated spectre. skyfall is entertaining at least but spectre was just too uncharismatic for a bond movie. blew their load on the opening oner and never really recovered. I really like quantum though.
>matheson
Who?
>lets throw matheson in a dumpster
that was kino
Maybe I misspelled it. Bonds buddy that he throws in the dumpster from casino royale
The editing style makes it almost unwatchable. Also like what the fuck was the story again?
I'd place it even above Casino since it's the only Craig movie that respects the formula for the most part.
Pleb.
Quantum of Solace was easily the worst of Craig's Bond films. It was the most uneventful mess of all his films. The only descent scene was literally the intro with the Aston Martin. The rest of it was unsatisfying trash.
i think the opera scene in QoS was better than the mission impossible one
the only truly terrible (and unforgivable) thing about Spectre was making Blofeld a figure from Bond's past bent on revenge. I can't think of a dumber storytelling decision from anything in any medium ever.
It makes sense though and the scene was as close to kino as a Bond movie can be
Plot didn’t feel like a stand alone bond film, more like a TV sequel to Casino Royale or dvd extra.
Enjoyable but forgettable.
Yeah i agree. The "I'm your foster brother twist" was dumb and some of the scenes with swan are bad. Other than that and the stupid helicopter pistol shot it wasn't bad
Kek. I really just found it funny
This. Scenes in sweaty tanktop made me want to fuck her.
You got filtered
It's a lot better if you watch it back-to-back with Casino Royale.
Whenever I watch Casino Royale, I expect it to end shortly after the balls-torture, but there's still like a full act to go. This is because CR is 1 and 1/3 of a movie, and QoS is only 2/3rds.
It was pretty good. Definitely better than skyfall but that's a very low bar.
>Skyfall
>Better
That movie was straight trash. The only good thing was the title song.
>Austin Powers spoofs James Bond
>Bond turns around and unironically spoofs Austin Powers
I’m baffled that a group of professional writers thought was a good idea to make the protagonist and hero siblings in a $300 million dollar Bond film after Austin Powers did it first
>you're not allowed to do something if a b-tier film in a completely different genre from 20 years ago did it
This. The editing was terrible. Everything changes so fast, it's like a strobe light.
If a parody of your movies does it, you probably should refrain from doing it
>Everything changes so fast, it's like a strobe light.
Yes, it's a real trap for those who thought they could just watch and not pay attention.
what an unbelievable shit cope
It's a solid throwback to License to Kill as a "bond goes rogue for revenge" theme. Skyfall is terrible when you take the time to think about the villain's plan. He easily walked into the hearing to shoot at M by just having a cop uniform. He could have skipped getting captured and meticulously planning an unnecessary escape and chase prior to it. The plot is pretty terrible, but it's a pretty film with solid acting that makes it a decent film to have on while doing other stuff. Spectre completely falls apart once Bond is captured by Blofeld. Needing three or so instances to tell James your master plan is dumb as hell and it just dragged on. Again, terrible writing showing itself, along with the Craig era taking itself way too seriously for Bond films. You need the mixture of elements that most of the previous film eras had in order to get away with stuff. Craig's last two movies suffer because the writers / directors wanted to make it more gritty and grounded.
>casino royale
>10/10
I hate zoomers
