Were they right?
generally, no. but there probably is a particular contingent that does. as for the billboard, well, they were promoting the flick. not everyone can put an advertisement of TWO THUMBS DOWN like based Lynch did with Lost Highway.
If griffithfag were still around he'd be tearing you a new asshole right now

I'm a huge Woody Allen. I've watched all of his films and these are my top 10:
1 - Stardust Memories
2 - Broadway Danny Rose
3 - Zelig
4 - Love and Death
5 - Hannah and Her Sisters
6 - Annie Hall
7 - Take The Money and Run
8 - Sleeper
9 - A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy
10 - Manhattan
what should i watch
Watch Broadway Danny Rose
It's a really fun movie
Don't let the best thread die
/film/s for this feel?
It was at the time. It practically invented the action sequence.
Do you think the studios paid those protesters?
Ahem... fuck Shitalian cinema.
No.
I agree on Stardust Memories, it's brilliant.
But Broadway Danny Rose? Really? I think that's one of his weaker ones personally.
Stardust Memories and Broadway Danny Rose are great, but Zelig is damn near genius. I'd rank Manhattan higher but your list is on point. Haven't seen Take the Money and Run yet. Love and Death is bonkers hilarious, especially for us Tolstoy readers. "Wheat! Wheat!"
I'd also put Shadows and Fog on my top 10.
I watched this the other night. Great movie, and I really want to fuck ann margaret.
I just rewatched it. It's fucking great. I'm with the theme song stuck in my head. Maybe you should give it another try.

Take The Money and Run is his most funny film. You're gonna love it.
Shadows and Fog is great. Woody should've made more films with Jodie Foster when she was younger.
This picture speaks more of an american culture when you see the protests signs at the bottom. That's literally America. Big exaggerated ideas with protests about the idea underneath no matter what.
>Broadway Danny Rose? Really? I think that's one of his weaker ones personally.
I wouldn't have rated it that highly either but it's a lot of fun.
gub
>No, YOU must be Don Francisco's sister
Love and Death is the best. I also dig Radio Days and Bullets Over Broadway.
If it's not obvious, this is from a re-release. In the distance you can barely make out a marquee for Robert Montgomery's Ride the Pink Horse, which would date this to 1947.
