Rusty Who is pure in that unpretentious way, it's always go big or go home. That's why the result is always endearing and entertaining.

What then ensues is an alternate timeline that declares 13 non-canon. A new series in which the doctor is granted the security for the 12th incarnation by gallifrey in exchange for him to work for them again like he was asked to do in genesis of the daleks. Capaldi gets a few more series written by RTD, and this time they're actually good. We might even get a valeyard episode. He then regenerates after that into a white male, and his beautiful TARDIS is retained for the foreseeable future
