Based Cameron made Ripley and Sarah Connor into mothers fighting like a lioness for her children. That seems to me a more natural motive for those two characters than any feminist fantasy. When it comes down to it both characters are fighting for their children or at least the next best thing to that with Newt.

Cameron even gives Hicks a joke about this obvious family dynamic as if he and Ripley were Newts parents and Sarah Connor has that monologue in the second Terminator movie where she realizes how important a father figure for John is.

It still amazes me that the woke crowd hasn't sniffed this out and Cameron is still getting away with this.

totally not true. Ripley and sarah connor share one thing: realistic motivation. Both are broken women who feel they are failures as a mother. The deleted scene in "aliens" spells it out: ripley was in stasis for years and missed her child's entire life. Ripley and Sarah feel they failed their children and spend their entire movies fighting to protect their child. This is the only realistic motivation for a female action hero. Nothing drives the female psyche to that point of desperation but this. Rey and Carol Danvers are just male characters transposed to female bodies for political purposes. Ripley and Sarah Connor are actually women, with uniquely female psyche and motivation.
