I just rewatched this to see if theres an element I can appreciate. It still sucks. Funny thing is I remember Tarantino on a black radio interview and the black guy brings it up that nobody likes this film and Tarantino is like "homie you just wouldnt get it dawg" and the black guy stares at him in amazement and moves on.

Jackie Brown fails for a couple reasons
A) Focuses too much on "muh stronk black womym struggles" which neither black men or white men or any of his target demographic cares to watch
B) Absolutely wastes Robert DeNiro, maybe his worst performance
C) Themes are all over the place, is this a 70s blaxploitation flick or a 90s comedy along the lines of "Friday"
D) People prefer when Samuel L Jackson is the hero not the villain, critically and historically
E) It might be his weakest soundtrack ever which is surprising given the limitless material
