It just doesnt have a charm to it and definitely takes itself way too seriously despite being a comic book adaptation. It is just not fun to watch and the pacing is really not well adjusted.I also cant stand how every villain has a sad past to justify their wickedness
Thoughts?
Am i the only one that thinks this show is overrated?
u r wrong
It got cancelled despite being Capeshit on Netflix, which is the perfect storm of normie-bait, so it must not be THAT overrated.
>It is just not fun to watch
it's fucking boring. dropped it after three episodes
It was canceled because it was a all white people show.
There is an undeniable fact that it is more popular among redditors. Also posting wojak with 0 counter argument proves you are a virgin soiboi.
i heard it was cancelled because of disney plus?
No it was canceled because it was a popular show where all the characters were white people.
You're fucking boring.
/this
It suffers from the Netflix binge problem. If each season was 6 episodes only it would be really good and solid. The gritty hero shit definitely has its moments but the poor side characters and confusing villain motivation don't help it. That being said the fight scenes and main character are pretty good.
it was one of their most watched shows, disney let all the marvel/netflix contracts run out because they were going into streaming.
First season was boring, second season with Elektra was stupid. However season three with bullseye was pure unfiltered kino.
Is bullseye as kino as in the film?I might give it another shot if it's the case.
The Daredevil v Punisher arc was fucking great though. Makes me angrier at how badly they fucked up Frank's series.
No, it's actually written as a character. The show really isn't for you, as it seems you just want to watch Asylum tier shenanigans.
>yes incel, conveniently the truth is anything that means you’re a victim
No he's an actual character instead of a meme.
Stopped watching at the embarrassing "ethical debate" between him and the punisher about whose crime fighting methods were more effective, third graders would write a more interesting conversation
If you unironically liked the film version of bullseye then I don't know. He's a much better character in the series and has development. The fight scenes involving him are well done and especially the final fight at the end of the season. His character alone makes me upset they canned the series since he was genuinely interesting.
That's not too bad for a cast as big as Daredevil's. All the main characters are white which is a miracle.
Not every comic adaptation needs to have a joke or point out how stupid the show is every 20 seconds, zoomer.
Did i say anything about having quips makes a comic book adaptation fun?It can be fun without being too grimmy as if it tries to be a real drama show. That is the problem with it.
cancelled because of disney+
I really liked it but I think 2 things take it down a big fucking notch
1 is the action, it just doesn't feel realistic, also feels weightless, like the punches feel more like taps rather than what a punch would look like, I'm not sure if that's thanks to the actor who plays Matt himself or due to the person coordenating the action scenes but I remember a scene where he's hitting the heavy bag and it was really noticeable that he just does not know how to fight, he was like tapping the bag, the hand would hit the bag but there would be no force behind it and it would instantly backaway, someone should have told him to drive that hand through the fucking bag, that's like one of the first things they teach you in a boxing gym and that really took me off the action scenes
2 is karen, idk how she was in the comics as i only ever read spider-man comics but she really had an issue with not realizing to not overstep and put herself in danger, every time she was doing anything solo it just seemed like the worst idea possible and felt like she had to die for it, like facing kingpin, going to visit his mother, then desperatily trying to print the story about his childhood that would have little to no effect on him, hanging out with the punisher, etc. it just felt like she was testing the plot armor 24/7
The last half of season 1 is the peak of the series
It can be ignored overall though
Everything after season 1 is way worse
I haven't seen it yet. I have to be honest. The only reason I want to is because Kingpin is my favorite character. Is Kingpin alpha in this?
Karen is a alcoholic adrenaline junkie that latches onto Matt's catholic guilt and Daredevil's vigilantism. She was easily the third best written character in the show.
Yes but, Netflix cancels everything.
He's autistic but also based
