Nah, the main problem was RJ being a smug cunt and completely fucking the trilogy up by negating the first movie mid way through the trilogy, thus leaving JJ to unfuck it all up, which turned out as well as you'd expect. He had a good idea, but it would have benefited from being its own trilogy so he could properly flesh it out and make it into something pretty good.
