Please let it be a good thread this time. The string of dumpster fires is depressing.

It's not my thread, so I wouldn't set expectations high.

See looks so good here.
Wish I could go back to HS and have her as gf.

[CHAIR CLATTERING]

Just curious as I recently watched the film for the first time. What do you guys particularly enjoy about the first film?

I can't help it but thinking Brigitte wouldn't want a bf. Or anyone else around her besides Ginger for that matter. She's too wholesome for that kind of relationship

Shut the fuck up about this barely slightly better than mediocre flick, already

most of all the writing, characters (especially Brigitte), the overall atmosphere, a lot of subtext, great soundtrack

I feed on filtered plebeians

FUCK.OFF.GINGERFAGS.

did you like the film btw

The writing and performances of the sisters

On the surface, Ginger Snaps can be easily dismissed by critics as a typical B-rated teen-turned-werewolf movie. No wonder so many plebs get filtered by it. What distinguishes this movie from other horror films, however, is its subversion of the traditional perspective of its genre. So it sort of reinvents werewolf horror subgenre.

But thats not FEAST

I really did actually. I liked the performances of the two leads and I agree that the writing was very solid. I also liked the subtle thematic expressions like Ginger's menstruation and the tone is balanced very well.

Very wholesome.

the sequel is great as well. It's almost nothing like the original film, but it's brilliant in its own way

What was your first impression when you watched Ginger Snaps for the first time?
Personally I was struck by it, one of (if not the) the best films ever made. The ending plunged me into depression for a whole month. It's one of those movies that change you a little

I watched it in an Autumn day around mid 2010. I found it very comfy and the theme of not growing into a standard normie resonated with me. Funnily enough I didn't think of the girls as attractive during my first viewing.

I watched it about half a year ago and thought it was just okay, the last part dragged a little. It all came together on a rewatch though.

Some people get scared off by the first few minutes when the film gets over the top with "trashiness" and give up on watching it ever again. Poor bastards. Also, I found Brigitte attractive right off the bat. It's one of those cases when know from the start "Yep, she's cool, I like her.". Unfortunately can't say the same about Ginger, her image is too vulgar for my taste

>its another Brigitte waifu thread
keep it in your pants, pals
some of us just like the movie

I needed a rewatch myself back when I watched it first in early 2018. Most people do for some reason

The first part of the film was trashy? I actually liked it because I also did edgy stuff along the lines of the death collage when I was a teen. It was artsy but also ridiculous and funny designed to make you laugh at the confusion of your class. When you were obviously pushing it but they can't really tell for sure. I didn't like Ginger because well she reminds me of friends who sellout so to speak.
