Jewish voice in his ear

No Deakins

That film went to shit when Ford's character was introduced. The plot was otherwise ok, just don't make the parents Deckhard and Rachel. Stupid sentimental fan service.

Sorry, I thought we were talking shit about dune, excuse me

ge doesn't have Rodger Deakins doing the cinemaotpgrpahy

>why are the promotional photos shot by magazine are not the same as still shots by the DP?
that's how retarded you are

we are. i just used an screen from his previous movie bladerunner 2049.

yes because promotional shots change a filter from vibrant orange hues to grey

hahahahahah

this

I suspect the source material for Dune is so unpalatable and since Blade Runner was a box office flop, Denis has made studio concessions he wouldn't otherwise have made. I don't think hes a bad filmmaker at all, so many of the decisions here reek of studio involvement, and considering how much money is on the line Im sure there are people pushing for something closer to capeshit

>drab Netflix shit
Is Dune not getting a theatrical release?

Nice visuals, shame about the story.

The only non-promo shot is the one that takes place on Caladan, which is not a desert.

>chani on caladan
right.

I think he counted that as a promo shot.
The only thing that doesn't match what I'd imagined it'd look like is the knife. I pictured it widening to the base, seeing as how it was carved from a tooth

The costume design is basically capeshit, there's no changing that.

the epitome of dishonest cinematography

how else should a skin tight body suit look?

>Whites of her eyes tinted blue
This is so lazy

why? i mean what significance does her whites being tinted blue have? and how is it a sign of laziness
not picking a fight, honestly asking. haven't read the book in a long time and i don't know how special effects like that work

BR2049 is my favorite

That's a trany, right?

Yep.

>tfw it will never be socially acceptable to wear that jacket

wtf why did the movie use the Vehicle that they used for the promo photos I thought they weren't connected at all?

Given how our world is slowly turning into a dystopian nightmare I'm sure you'll get a chance.

do it, wear whatever you want
yes Ella Hollywood

Game of Thrones in space.

The eyes in the book are blue within blue "without any whites in them", a side effect of the spice.
I suppose it's up to interpretation but I imagined them being a deep blue. Later in the book Paul's eyes begin to take on a blue tint which I imagined look like Chani's in that pic.

ah right, i see now. yeah reading the line you posted now, i also imagine they'd be all blue.
