Worst character of their respective show
Rewatching community made me realise that they could have had a near perfect show (Seasons 1-3, past that is lost cause) if they’d just committed a little bit more to bending sitcom tropes.
In every episode everyone loves eachother again by the end, the only plot points that are persistent are the ones that don’t affect the core dynamic of the main 7.
There should have been periods where characters were having multi-episode feuds with eachother. Especially Pierce and Shirley, partially because a lot of the time they have very little to do and just get stuck being Old and/or bigoted.
There’s a bunch of Season 2 episodes where Pierce is basically not in the episode (Halloween and Troys birthday he has like 1 line to another character plus a few seconds of physical comedy). And episodes that do feature him he’s the villain (which works very well, EG D&D and Trampoline). But next episode they’re always friends again.
They should of kicked him out midway through, so Pierces redemention in finale would mean something. And given Shirley the role Pierce had in season 1: where he usually came through with wholesome advice or lesson at the end.
Britta should have also leaned more into activist/feminist-y type stuff, instead of just being dumb and spouting Psych babble that seems like it was written having only seen other parodies of psych majors.
>not Randy
Not saying he's not terrible, but Randy takes the shit cake
Good post. On rewatch, I think the show suffers a lot from wanting to get laughs out of lampshading all of these cliches/tropes, but doesn't have the balls to entirely forgoe or lampoon them. Feels weird, lacking in conviction maybe
What the fuck were they thinking with this?
Fucking excellent take, wow it's rare that I see something as cogent as this on this shitheap.
Definitely Phoebe on Friends or Susan on Seinfeld.
Malcolm is the worst part of Malcolm in the Middle.
What are you talking about? She was the best character on Drake and Josh. Literally ran the theater perfectly
That's not nice.
Only white cock can satisfy
>not Lois
she and troy are equally shit
Carla from Scrubs, fuckig hate her.
And Laguerta from Dexter, hate her also.
Latinas man.
This user hitting the nail on the head.
One of the saddest things for me is how Donald Glover's character goes from being sporty dejected guy to nimwit sidekick to Abed. Later on when they try and add the romance aspect to his character it seems totally out of nowhere and he had little to no chemistry with Britta in the first place. I liked the original idea for his character a lot but it went to waste.
Community isn't great but there was a lot of potential for it to be fantastic that went by the way side.
Worst character on scrubs that isn't a female nurse. Go.
I was just flipping through channels. I turned on the "new" Magnum PI to find that Thomas Magnum is now a Hispanic guy!?! Really?!? He is soooo far from the original character it is ridiculous. They shouldn't be able to use the same show name (the Macgyver show either).
What crap, I changed the channel and will never watch that show again.
>not Mac
The doctor that's a prick to everyone (Kelso? Haven't watched in forever) because it's a piss poor depiction of competency and mentorship, essentially how idiots think skilled individuals should behave.
Todd?
Eliots boyfriend the doctor intern or something
Stopped watching after season 1 because she was just too ugly to look at
Jim easily on The Office... Just did that face to the camera whenever Dwight or Michael said anything.
That sounds terrible, nobody wants multi-episode arcs. Pierce was underutilized later on, but it was mostly because of tensions with Chevy Chase
is that young william aka the man in black?
retard
just say you hate niggers user, its okay you're among friends now
