MST3K: The Movie 25th Anniversary
I guess nobody has an Interocitor
Normal view!
I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU BRAK
I remember seeing this in the theater, I was 14, and there were maybe four or five other people besides me and my friend who had never watched MST3k before.
A few of the jokes went over my head. I had no fucking clue at the time who Senator John Sununu was.
But I have never laughed harder at a movie in the theater before or since. Definitely one of my top theater experiences.
Is this metal? I've got a bet with Joe.
We'll start right here......at goofy clown face.
Where did you see it? It had such a limited release. I saw it at a film festival where Trace and Kevin did a meet and greet with fans afterwards,
At the AMC on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica
I wish there was an alternate universe movie that featured Joel and TV's Frank (played by some A-List Hollywood casting for the "big screen").
Still remembered today
At the time, the studio spent ad money on Barb Wire instead, which is largely forgotten
can you see her tits in it?
IDK
But her tits aren't hard to see
She was in Playboy
4k film print
Childhood is enjoying Mike's riffing & comedic acting. Adulthood is realizing the nuance & quaint theory that is Joel.
The bits are better with Joel and I liked the invention exchange
Also, I started watching it when it came out so Mike has always been the new guy for me
I've skipped the host segments since the Clinton administration they're too cringe to watch
Fucking Pearl
give uncle scrotor a hug
The biggest problem is there are at least 10 MST3K episodes that aired before this came out that are funnier, and likely twice a many after. It's just ok, like a 3rd tier Gamera sequel.
"-but before unpacking..."
AW GEEZ
>put you in the bitch-transformer
Were they supposed to be well disguised or did they just not care everyone knew they were aliens?
"Hi, there."
man i remember in the early 2000s when netflix was just becoming a thing
i has this on my queue and couldnt get any fo the seasons but they sent the movie
i kept it and sent them back an empty package claiming it got lost so i could keep it
its really not as good as the seires in all honesty
"Sort this!", "Deliver that!"...I'll make 'em all pay...
the skits have always been the worst parts but joels were slightly better
still think mike was a better host and had better movie jokes though
the new ones suck major ass of c ourse
>let's make a theatrical movie out of a TV show that is literally already guys watching a movie
>also let's make it what is basically an average to below-average episode of the show
What the fuck was the thought-process behind this being made?
Season 7 was essentially cut in half because of the production of this stupid thing. Instead of one mediocre episode getting theatrically released we could have had five to six good episodes of the show aired on TV like always.
didnt they get canceled in 1996 and didnt know tehy would be picked up by scyfy for another 3 seasons?
i figured it was their swan song. and this island earth was the one film they could get the go ahead for
i remember hearing they wanted to do plan 9 from outer space but could get the rights or something
which is why rifftrax is so much better, its just an audio track so they can do any movie they want, and they arent hindered by tv censors
I’ve watched MST3K everyday on YouTube for 10 years.
It’s the greatest background noise to have in your apartment.
>You know what my kids would say?
>YOU'RE NOT MY REAL FATHER!
>*crunch* *crunch* *crruuunnnch*
Is Trace gay?
Experienced the same when the movie came out. I also attend the RiffTrax Live simulcasts in the summer. Only 12-15 people show up to the same theatre showing, and we’ve gotten to all know each other over the last couple of years. Pretty cool community
Absolute fucking worst, with the exception of SciFi
Why did Frank not do the movie?
AHEM JUST LEAVING THIS HERE
