The problem with cinema is that nobody wants to answer any new questions in a purely cinematic way. So most of the new directors use tons of technology, stories from books and very cold aesthetics to tell something that people don't even care, they came out as the same as they got into the room.
So the dilemma is that new cinema is just technology masked with a story so as any technology, time will consume it and destroy it.
If you people keep giving your money to this type of hyped-advertised-to-hell movies you will see cinema dying slowly.
Mostly their audiences are just young people who will love anything you put in front but that audience will kill the industry because well, they have not lived enough to ask for more mature content and older people lost any hope to find something beautiful or unique, most of the movies today are just explicit bullshit for the sake of amusement to bank in the fastest way possible and have good a ROI.
