As opposed to Rise of Skywalker....or simply staying retired?
Is Stark Trek Picard really worth it?
Yah no it's great lol. Watch it if you loved TNG and watch it during your most vulnerable phase.
It's a catch-22. There won't be a rise of skywalker plinkett review. After he tried to downplay how bad Last Jedi was, shitting on rise of skywalkee would just remove all doubt that he was a disney shill for the first two movies.
Picard is an easy target. Gotta recover some of Plinkett's reputation.
Yes. His Trek reviews are actually good.
I can't wait to hear Mike bend over backwards to defend the forced diversity and turning Seven into a dyke.
This one seems very personal for Mike since he's one of the biggest trek fanboys out there and Picard shat all over TNG and its legacy. They all knew at the time that The Rise of Skywalker was going to be shitty and they've already stated their views on Abrams (as wrong as those views are), however I think that Mike had still had a small glimmer of hope that Picard was going to be good even after the crapfest that was STD. Now that that hope has been taken away I think he really, really wants to vent.
He has talked shit about the last jedi in multiple scattered vids throughout the yrs not even including the plinkett review retard.
And still ended up saying it "wasn't a mess".
it seems like he doesnt give a shit either way when it comes to that. i know in your bubble that means he loves it. but not seething about shit like that when theres so many other problems that are rotten to its core is fair.
Funny how Mike ended up chugging bluepills after some lefty blogs called him "altright".
sweetie, he's doing it ironically....
The Plinkett Reviews started out as reviews of the Star Trek TNG films before the Phantom Menace review blew up. So really it's a return to form.
Remember when he bitched that Voyager wssn't diverse enough because the black woman the Captain in a completly unrelated review? Remember how he pulled the "Women are funny, get over it" line in the Plinkett Ghostbusters? Remember how his only complaint about TFA was the absence of interracial gay sex?
HitB
>i expected to wake up from my dream and see the real last jedi where it wasnt bad
>HAVE YOU SEEN STAR WARS
Random unrelated video
>Rian Johnson getting his own trilogy seems like a bad idea
>plinkett review talking shit
Another random vid I cant remember which exactly
>when you give the 2nd film in the biggest franchise to "just some guy" we know what happens
Those are different slights on it through multiple videos that I can remember. Not quoted 100 percent but thats the gist. And he has thrown shade at it a few other times but I cant remember directly. He has never shilled the movie. Jay? Maybe you can make an argument
In what way did he downplay TLJ? They shit on it in videos constantly. If you said the Force Awakens I would agree he downplayed it's flaws but they shown nothing but contempt for The Last Jedi.
Thats not called shilling retard. That one quote against him talking as much shit as he has over the years doesn't balance it out to your original claim that he promoted the movie. Quite the opposite. Get a fucking grip
Mike:
>Nostalgia is lazy and uncreative!
Also Mike:
>WHY ISN'T IT LIKE THE THING I REMEMBER?!
This faggot never had any real standards.
Actually didn't mind the diversity in Picard. The black and female characters aren't all flawlessly perfect and the center of everything. it's all I ask for in a Trek show.
You sound like an abused wife with Stockholm syndrome. You should find a way out.
He's correct on both of those counts though. Ideally you want a new entry in a franchise to show you fresh things, while staying true to it's soul.
That was Rogue One. Yet he hated that and loved the shameless pandering in TFA.
It's Star Trek, retard. It has never not had some token representation of different races. It comes with the territory. Complaining about that now, makes you sound like an idiot.
>Remember how he pulled the "Women are funny, get over it" line in the Plinkett Ghostbusters?
You remember how he "joked" but not really "All women are idiots!" In the HitB for Ghostbusters and quickly changed the subject? Please don't cherrypick
I too loved all the YAAS QWEENS yelling at the frail old white man to step off.
Rogue One was barely that, and was still a shit movie.
Goid point. Star Trek was always gay pozzed shit.
A statement made in jest vs. all his sincere calls for diversity and gay representation?
Retard absolutely BTFO
How is it RLM threads bring out the obsessive schizos?
It was the only good Dusney Wars movie, but it wasn't great.
>antagonistic admiral behaves like antagonistic admiral
>former crew member has some qualms about how she was dropped when he quit Starfleet
Not bad ideas in and of themselves. The fact that they had to twist the internal logic of a lot of the franchise to get there was stupid, but that's a separate problem.
Obviously.
"retired"....you cant actually believe that right?
TFA was the first movie since ROTS and was intended to re-introduce audiences to SW. Rogue Wan was supposed to be a stand alone star wars story. It somehow had less creativity than 7.
>It's a Mike pretends to be cooler than the other nerds while complaining that Patamount didn't just film his "Ensign Stoklasa Saves The Enterprise" fanfiction episode
I haye this cope. Star Wars is so over-saturated and well known it didn't need to be reintroduced, and certainly not in such an insultung and derivative fashion. R1 actually told a new story in a familiar setting
ahihihi you cocksucker tried to lie and got caught hihihi :^)
Are you the same retard that said mike shilled last jedi? Love how you are suddenly playing dumb
dohoho you got mad when your true colors were revealed :D:D lie less cocksucker :DD
It told the opening crawl to ANH
FUCKING KEK
Yes, and as it turns out there was a lot to explore in those words.
He started with TNG movie reviews. The circle is complete.
Deserved tlj
Star Trek (especially TNG) is more of his passion than Star Wars.
>my dad made the Death Star shit on purpose
Yeah, it was dumb.
fucking this. Plinkett character started with Star Trek, now it ends with Star Trek. Pottery.
Dumber than "Ma-Rey-Sue's Derivative Mystery Box Adventure"?
About equally so. What? I have to pick one or the other now?
