The thing that annoys me about prometheus and covenant is that scott had the back story of the alien in his head from the time they made the original movie, and he talked about wanting to make it for years, but instead of the neat concept he had we got DLs mystery box bullshit.

What makes it worse is they took one of the best things from the Alien series - the mystery of the Space Jockey being unexplained - and then explained it in the most absolutely fucking stupid way they possibly could. It was the one thing that needed no further exploration because it was perfect as it was.
