>We have heard that the reboot has offered the role of Claire Redfield to Maze Runner star Kaya Scodelario. The report also suggests that Titans star Brenton Thwaites is being eyed for the role of Chris Redfield and Harris Dickinson for Leon.
Isn't Claire not in RE1?, will they focus on RE2 as a starting point? Maybe have RE1 as a prequel before jumping in to RE3?
I honestly think, Resident Evil would work better as a series. Season 1 could be RE1, Season 2 could be RE2 and 3. 6 Episodes in the first season, 9-12 in the second.

Here's your aboriginal Australian Chris Redfield senpai!
W...why are you giving me that look? What are you, a racist, you antisemitic nazi!
in a nutshell though, all you really need to know is that a pharmaceutical company was secretly working on bioweapons and the virus got out and infected a nearby city
>all you really need to know is that a pharmaceutical company was secretly working on bioweapons and the virus got out and infected a nearby city sounds familiar...were they basing it on real life?
How could you translate RE to film while keeping what made RE special?
>walk around searching for items >backtracking and unlocking paths >manage your inventory >solve puzzles >all this happens by yourself with minimal dialogue
it works for video games, but I feel like an audience would get bored watching someone walk around a police station or mansion for 10 hours while solving puzzles and unlocking doors

Because is a big rock.

>I honestly think, Resident Evil would work better as a series
Netflix is making a series but it sounds shit
>The series will focus on Jade and Billie Wesker, who are half-sisters and the daughters of series antagonist Albert Wesker.
>The city of Clearfield, Maryland, has long lived under the shadow of three seemingly disconnected entities: Umbrella Corporation, the now retired Greenwood Asylum and the federal capital, Washington. Now, twenty-six years after the discovery of the T-Virus, the secrets kept by the trio are beginning to surface, with the first signs of the epidemic.
It’d obviously be more action oriented, biohazard would probably be the best game for a “pilot” movie, as the character being ultra confused and shitting his pants would reflect the audience. Plus the introduction to a larger world at the end would keep the audience wanting more. On second thought it’d work a lot better as a series than a movie.
They usually have budgets of around 40 to 60 million, and all of them after Apocalypse have made 4 times or more their budget. So they're actually financially good, I doubt they have to match their budget in advertising. They survive off the international box office as well since they do poorly in the U.S. Also, they're pushed because the director is the leads husband.
They already managed to make 6 of them. A total budget of 288 million, totaling 1.233 billion at the box office. Not bad at all, I'd say.
Hopefully if we get more of a faithful reboot they can capitalize on the videogames being in the spotlight and make bank off it.
Cameron Myers
>boulder punching racemixing gigachad and cousin of uncle Dante from DMC >played by two labor camp victims
Well, at least they are not Somalis I guess. We need Daniel Bernhardt as Wesker.
Luke Bailey
She looks much older than she is too. January Jones played her mother in a show but looked younger than her.
If ever it happens it'll be forgetful garbage like the last time they rebooted an existing videogame movie series to coincide with an ongoing reboot to the actual games.
Luke Lopez
>make it a movie under the 90 minutes mark >make it straight forward and only stop at some memorable puzzles each game had >doesnt need to be a carbon copy of what took place in the game, see what capcom did with the new remakes

Because all of them made a shitload of movie. They are fun flicks and first movie was genuinely good.
Can't wait for black Jill, bisexual Chris, fat Asian Rebecca, bumbling and incompetent white Barry and evil Trump-voting Wesker.

coomers, check out RE threads on Yas Forums

Most of the games are good.

Just to add that companies see that as an opportunity for advanced biological warfare. The monsters are used on various missions depending on the client.
Yes, but only the numbered games are worth playing.
desu you could probably skip 5 and 6 if you wanted, but they're fun to play with a friend
Jason Green
Christ, why!? You got pages upon pages of source material, and videogames to adapt.
>Season 1, Mansion. Can introduce us to the main people as well as giving us a haunted mansion with zombies and monsters. Add some OC cops to get killed off if you want. >Season 2, Racoon City. Stakes are larger now, epidemic has destroyed the whole city. The season focuses on Claire and Leon. Gas Station, Police Station, Sewers, Nest. Meanwhile we see Jill dealing with the shitstorm of Nemesis and Nest 2/Disposal Center. >Season 3, Spain and Las Plagas.
Like holy shit, you got 3 solid seasons right there of monster mash zombie shit. Just add oc characters that can serve as the cannon fodder and you're good.
James Howard
Whoever the dude was who played the invisible man in the latest movie would be a better Chris.
Austin Hernandez
start with the original REmake.
I haven't played the original PS1 games but all the remakes are pretty great. Even RE3make was a decent 7/10
Jonathan Miller
Movies or games?

>Nest 2
Fuck off with that shit.

Prior to Resident Evil 4 most of the games were at least decent if not overall good for the time they were released. However their gameplay, being very much a product of gaming in the late 90's, requires some concessions and hasn't aged especially well. There's a reason RE2 and now RE3 got remade for modern hardware using RE4-style controls and gameplay. The original RE4 however has barely aged and is still a fucking blast and a half to play. Easily one of the best single-player games in the past 30 years.
Caleb Peterson
too old
Joseph Evans
He's not an abo you fucking retard, he's just from Cairns
David Flores
He does have a better rugged look than the guy they used for the RE7 DLC. If you'd have to go with that look, that actor from Invisible Man would be perfect.
