I forgot how forgettable most of series 2 is. The devil two-parter is good, but the other episodes really haven't aged well. I can't believe Tooth and Claw was an actual episode, I forgot about it completely. Definitely one of the weakest nuwho series, and it isn't helped by the fact 10/Rose is very juvenile and shallow in retrospect.

My pet theory is that it holds a lot of nostalgia value for being Tennant's debut series (and he is unquestionably the most popular modern Doctor) but suffered a hangover from Rose somewhat being the main character in series 1.
It was great when broadcast but Billie Piper had to go for the show to become Doctor-centric again and in retrospect people realised that the romance just became too much.
