What am I in for lads?
What am I in for lads?
kino
Bigger action pieces, feels less intimate than the first. But still good.
Not as tightly paced as the original but it's a lot more technically polished and the action choreography is better.
RIP old man
The sequel in general does a lot to immediately close off all the loose ends of the previous movie. Which makes sense when you learn that The Raid 2 was the movie Gareth Evans intended to make from the start but didn't have the budget to make. The first movie was just a really good proof of concept, in a way.
That’s does make more sense, I’m enjoying it so far
tfw Gareth just decided to give up on making The Raid 3 (which he already had planned) I loved Apostle though.
Why’d he give up?
march 27th 2014
it's been 6 years lads
Didn’t expect to see pegging in this film but i can’t say I’m disappointed
The Night Comes For Us is the closest thing we're going to get to another Raid movie unless something changes.
The final hour or so of the movie is pure action kino but be prepared for a lot of organaized crime drama inbetween at this point.
What's the best fight?
And why is it the prison one?
>and the action choreography is better.
Debatable. They definitely tighten things up, BUT the filming is worse when groups of people are fighting because you can see the extras standing around in the background waiting for their turn in certain shots whereas there wasn't any of that in the first film (thanks to all the fights taking place in narrow hallways and small rooms).
Violence.
A shitty sequel to a fantastic movie because they now have a budget and wanted to make a shittier version of The Departed with more unnecessary dialogue and expensive car chases.
>but be prepared for a lot of organaized crime drama inbetween at this point.
This is the worst part of this movie because it's soooo generic. It's blatantly obvious the director "borrowed" plot points from movies like The Departed and Eastern Promises. I seem to be one of the few who still prefers the first film because of this. The generic and uninteresting plot, the ridiculously long run time, superfluous sub plots. Overall just not as good as the first one despite some technical improvements, nifty camerawork, and a tightening up of the choreography.
Knife battle is best
Oh shit mad dogs back
Been meaning to watch this one for a while now.
It ain't Mad Dog.
But he’s played by the same actor and acts exactly the same, he’s not just some random other person is he?
The only reason I wanted a part three was to see how they would being mad dog back again
I'm still pissed they got him for TFA just to have him killed by a CGI monster.
It's a different character.
Bruh I was kinda excited for him to meet Rama again but if it’s just some other guy I’m kinda bummed
Might be the worst part of the movie because he has absolutely no connection to the main plot. It's obvious the director only included him so they could have him in a few fight scenes and that's it. Yes the fight scenes were fine, but we spend way too much time with this character and it goes absolutely nowhere.
Yeah he just fucking died, what was the point of any of that
The point was to have more fight scenes I guess. They could have done that without the pointless sub plot though.
I want train hammer lady to have my kids
Not as good as the first one but still kino
I've been saying that since the first movie was a siege film and the second a crime epic, I want Raid 3 to be a spy thriller where Rama has to infiltrate some terrorist organization.
A good film and a portrayal into SEAniggery.
