>“I really want this to bring the same feeling that those old monster movies that I loved growing up watching [did]. I’m not as interested in doing a horror movie as I am in doing a true monster film. So, hopefully that will see the light of day. You never know in Hollywood these days, but I love it. I’m very excited about it. I’m excited about the characters that I’ve created and about some of the ones that I’ve been able bring over from the old movies.”
John Krasinski Vampire movie(Van Helsing?):
>While this must all be taken with a heavy serving of (garlic) salt, according to film scooper and reporter Daniel Richtman, and in a report by HN Entertainment, it was said that John Krasinski plans to write and direct a project “set in the world of vampires.” While it must be said that a film “set in the world of vampires” doesn’t necessarily indicate Van Helsing, it would not be surprising to see Universal want to turn their attention to this property, much like how The Invisible Man was the second film to be announced ahead of The Mummy (2017), and while it didn’t turn out to be the Johnny Depp feature, it still was made.

Dark Universe is dead?
We call them the un-dead
BASED
I thought they only do horror and standalones now
They're sticking to standalones but they're trying a buckshot approach and throwing their IPs at anything under the sun
This MIGHT be related to Creature from the Black Lagoon or Jaws.
Wishlist?
> Antje Traue is cast as The Bride of Frankenstein, if that remake moves forward.
> If the Dark Universe moves forward, Dracula Untold is reinstated into canon. I want more of Luke Evan's take on the character.
> Mads Mikkelsen as Dracula IF Luke is definitively not returning.
Imagine thinking this is going to work. They've tried to do this universe like 4 times
Based!
>>Feig
Nothing good can come of that.
That rest of this is also shit, but Feig is actually the worst.
I am sure we will never get a new Creature from the Black Lagoon after The Shape of Water but if we did some of my ponderings of how it would be done...
> (1) Short Term Sequel: Period piece in the early 60s, a new expedition returns to the Lagoon a few years after the original trilogy.
> (2) Long Term Sequel: The Creature survives the end of Walks among us. He buries himself deep into a Florida beach, hibernates & very, very slowly heals his severe burns & surgical alterations over the course of decades & awakens in the modern day.
> (3) Long Term Sequel: The country that the Black Lagoon resides in cut off all access to it for decades after the events of the original trilogy. We get to see the first expedition allowed to return to the area untouched by man in a long time.
> (4) Reboot/Remake: 1 character show with a female survivalist type scientist alone in the Amazon discovering, peacefully studying, interacting with & eventually being stalked by the Creature when she fucks up & oversteps. Similar to the early portion of Riddick (2013).
> If they do a reboot/remake I do not want him to be created from pollution/toxic waste the way previous official remake scripts planned to do.
Im actually still mad they didn’t just continue with Untold. Then they just lit the whole fucking concept on fire with the mummy.
THEY DID A MASH
I hope it's a kaiju movie
But these are standalones, no Cinematic Universe anymore
He makes good movies. Ghostbusters is his only bad movie.
Adam Driver is fan favorite for Dracula. All women want him. I do too.
Romanian here, Luke Evans is a disgrace to play Dracula. I'd rather have Adam Driver play him than a homo.
Meh
>Wishlist?
Sofia back as the mummy in a proper horror film, regardless of whatever is going to happen with dark universe.
This. If Karloff can play both Frankenstein and Mummy then why not!
