I was 13 when this movie came out on Blu-Ray/DVD in 2011 or 2012. I watched it with my family, and I remember thinking that the universe sequence was really stupid and boring. I don't think I liked the movie that much and/or I didn't get it.
I actually haven't watched it since. It's a movie that I really want to get around to rewatching, since I'd probably like it a lot more. I just think that it's the kind of movie 13-year-old me couldn't appreciate.
ITT: The first movie you remember being filtered by
bump
You got filter because it's pretentious trash. Badlands was interesting, and it sort of had a plot to give Malick's poetic indulgence a degree of coherency, but he was already basically parodying himself by Days of Heaven.
rewatch it asap. It's pure pleb filtering kino that will give you a new perspective on life or atleast make you reconsider some thoughts you have.
Inherent Vice
I should finish my statement
I was filtered by it at first but I watched it a second time years later and loved it
>I was 13 when this movie came out on Blu-Ray/DVD in 2011 or 2012.
>13 in 2012
fuck off jesus christ
Depends on what you mean by "filtered". The only movie I really felt I struggled to understand after my initial watch was Barton Fink, but I still enjoyed it and in retrospect I think I more or less understand the message of the movie, even if some of the literary references went over my head.
What's the deep meaning behind this film? don't bully your child?
People born in the late 1990s are in their early 20s now. You guys are just salty boomers who are getting old. Don't forget to take your meds.
If you can’t remember 9/11 there’s an 80% chance you’re a deluded tranny and a 100% chance that nothing insightful has ever come out of your mouth. Yas Forums is a 30 year old boomer only website. Fuck off to reddit zoomie.
wtf does "being filtered by" even mean?
primer
To be fair, youre still using an iPhone at your age so you have no right to complain about retard zoomers.
Imagine being 30+ and on an anine website hahahaha have you ever even hugged a girl? Lmfaooo
When I watched it, the value I derived came from making connections in my life to the characters and events in the movie. It gave me new perspective on the attitudes that I’ve had in my life and how they might affect other people.
>was 13 when this movie came out on Blu-Ray/DVD in 2011 or 2012
> I was mid 20's in 2012
This user is trying to make fun of old people
Why are you even here? this is a site for boomers, go on tiktok or reddit, just leave us alone
A true kino can "filter" the audience, that is, divide them into those with taste and those without. If you got filtered by a film, and you end up saying you don't enjoy it (likely because, such as in the case of Tree of Life, it's just too sophisticated, beautiful, and intelligent for the average movie-goer), it's because you have bad taste and you're essentially a philistine.
It’s my work phone. Why would I pay for data when I can cuck my work out of their phone bill?
Why yes zoomer, I have a wife and a kid on the way. Tell me, which tranny’s fans only page have you been donating to lately?
Fair enough I did think it could possibly be a work phone
tried to watch Vertigo at about 12 years old and couldn't even finish it. About 10 years later gave it another shot and enjoyed it a lot more. Maybe eventually I'll just genuinely like it. Didn't like Blade Runner, the Original Suspiria, or Videodrome the first time I saw any of them. Also HATED Scott Pilgrim the first time around but had a change of heart on it, though there's no way anyone could consider that movie a filter.
Brad Pitt and Tye Sheridan and Laramie Eppler and Brayden Whisenhunt are relentlessly handsome.
Stop being old.
How dare you post that pinky devil in this (((current year))). I updated it for you shitlord.
Yikes, 30+ and obsessed over trannies, I highly doubt you have a wife let alone a kid lmao.
you are an idiot for thinking it has to be about only 1 thing.
I was 14 and watched it with some friends, I was used to american films and some foreign essentials
this is one of those movies that I knew I was going to love the second it started, lol
Forbidden Zone was like that too
what are the meanings then? I don't get the Sean Penn episodes.
